well, $100 in 1990 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $240.30 today (source) so 21 usd/h should be about 50 usd/h today and the 62.5 usd/h calculated by @Jarix@lemmy.world should be 150 usd/h

Living in a city based on tourism, I think I can understand the inhabitants of the Canaries but I fear the only possible outcome will be to elevate the offer, skyrocket the prices and become an elitarian destination

In the end Damian Lillard (plus Nurkic, Little, Keon Johnson) got the the Blazers:
Robert Williams C 25yo
Malcolm Brogdon G 30yo
DeAndre Ayton C 25yo
Toumani Camara G 23yo
GSW 2024 1rp (top 4 protected)
Celtics 2029 1rp
Bucks 2029 1rp
2028 and 2030 swap rights with the Bucks

Brogdon is obviously not part of that young group, so I think they're gonna trade him; they can't get too much in return but some teams could surely offer a promising young guy or future picks. They could trade him soon or have him play some minutes to show the league he's healthy before trading him

The Dame trade brought 33yo defensive specialist Jrue Holiday to the young, rebuilding team that are the Blazers.
I think he'll be traded as soon as possible during the season, after he mentored the youngsters for a few months.
Phila (with Harden to LAC) is a possibility, don't think Miami will do anything special, then? Who needs him more (and has the pieces to get him)?

"I love the U.S... but that ain't the world!" ❌ Noah Lyles throws shade at the NBA's 'world champions'

I have to watch the NBA Finals and they have world champion on their heads. World champion of what? The United States? Don’t get me wrong. I love the U.S. at times. But that ain’t the world.... We are the world. We have almost every country out here fighting and thriving and putting on a flag to show that they are represented. There ain’t no flags in the NBA.

Jordan Clarkson will be returning to the Utah Jazz after exercising his $14.3 million player option for the 2023-24 season, according to Sarah Todd of Deseret News.

The move comes as a bit of a surprise considering the Jazz are only one year into their full-scale rebuild, a process that began last offseason with the trades of Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.

Clarkson presumably would've earned more money on the open market by opting out as well. In that scenario, he could still turn around and re-sign with Utah, albeit on a bigger contract with long-term security.

Wojnarowski: "The Cleveland Cavaliers are fully guaranteeing forward Cedi Osman’s $6.7 million contract for 2023-2024, sources tell ESPN. Osman has averaged nearly 10 points a game in his six seasons with the Cavaliers."
