I never visit any instances besides lemmygrad and hexbear so I'm out of the loop on what everyone else on lemmy is like. Is this... it? That was a refreshing thread to read. But in a bad way, like getting splashed with sewage.

I have no idea tbh. I forgot the specifics of what I was taught and only remember her + Chomsky because they got the normal forms of CFGs named after them.

Honestly it was shocking to learn that Chomsky did so much other stuff with politics and monkies because he will always be the CFG guy to me haha

Depends on the cost-benefit analysis you're doing. From a societal perspective of course it's best to have free universal healthcare, but from the perspective of an insurance CEO it sure isn't. And it's the latter group influencing policy
