They need to get rid of the unanimity rule before letting more countries in. It will be impossible to make decisions otherwise.

It puts the burden on the devs/publishers, not steam. Every time someone goes to the steam forums, they think it should be moderated by steam.

Will Canada finally get its ass out of the US pan and choose Linux?

[-] atro_city@fedia.io 1 points 5 days ago

Just get rid of the forums and let the devs/publishers link to their own: problem solved.

Are these really the people that should be required to work so much? Isn't their job about handling life and death daily? Wouldn't we want exactly these people to come fully rested to work every single day and be fully staffed?

I don't know if there are jobs with similar stakes that are so carelessly staffed and disgustingly paid.

Trump is giving the world a very expensive lesson in fossil fuel dependence. Now is the time to invest in companies that are moving us towards this green future, but how?

ETFs are garbage, IMO. Supposedly "green" ETFs have polluters like Shell, Boeing, CrApple, Total, Transocean, and so much more. According to a report in 2021, 70% of companies in "sustainable" ETFs are "misaligned" aka greenwashing.

I found private investment / crowdfunding companies that allow ESG investments, but recently watched a video that the entire market (private equity in general) was heading off a cliff and to divest ASAP. It hasn't spooked me completely as it's just a video, but I need to do some research.

Regardless, these are the ones I found:

My questions to y'all: how do you invest in green tech? Can you recommend alternatives to the ones I named?

And leave reviews saying "Bought this game because it was on the anti-woke curator's list. Thanks"?

Edit: it seems like people understand this post as a "let's buy non-woke games". I mean it as "use the list to find 'woke' games" and buy those. Not mindlessly, of course. But review-bombed "woke" games can have a harder time (especially in their forums), because of such curators and it could be a good way to discover actual good games that are subjugated to hate coming from these curators and groups.

Reclaim real African artifacts from Western museums in this Africanfuturist heist game. Recruit crew members, plan escape routes, acquire the precious cargo, and bounce out of the joint as fast as you can.

The steam forums are a little... wild

It was such a sick video but it was taken down for some reason. I bet it was too "shocking" for youtube and the band was forced to release to generic video instead.

Thank you everybody, I went with Heroic Launcher

I'd like to log into my GoG account and click on "install game" from within the game store without having to manually download the installer, manually install the game, and then add it to the game store to act as a launcher (like steam does). Seems to defeat the purpose of a game store.

Purchasing the game on the web is fine, it's more the game management aspect I'm looking for. Does that exist?

Cattle ranchers are making less money in the US despite beef prices at an all-time high. In the meantime, Trump started importing beef from Argentina to lower beef prices, but only achieved to lower cattle prices.

Trump supporting cattle ranchers weren't happy

Good. It's about time people stopped treating the US flag with respect in western countries.

My thought was "I doubt you can make fat only with hydrogen and carbon", but fats/lipids are literally hydrocarbons. Adding other elements changes the taste, so it isn't necessary to have mammals anywhere in the production chain.

Very interesting and probably not the first time this is/has been done. It seems quite obvious.
