I'm talking to someone who legitimatly thinks Ukraine SHOULD give up Donbas and especially its claim to Crimea but thinks it should still have the right to join NATO and thats why the ceasefire isnt tenable, and the reason for that is that he thinks that Ukraine needs some form of protection because Russia will definitely just invade again in two years if the ceasefire is agreed to as is.
