I see these two as the main search results

Anybody here who has tried both care to give a comparison? I'm on Fedora 43 and have been using Flatpaks quite a bit over the old 3rd party yum/dns repo method for supplemental stuff like this. I guess that gives Packet a bit of an edge for now, as the rquickshare dev uses a 3rd party framework that doesn't yet support Flatpaks. But if the consensus is that rquickshare is better then grabbing the RPM directly is an option.

Computer has been a bit wonky last few days with either Firefox crashing out or Explorer freezing. Malwarebytes didn't find anything, and I set Defender to do a full scan but this happened in the middle of that. Got an error pop-up from Google Drive, which I have set for file streaming. But I just decided to shut down the computer for now.

Synology’s 2025 refresh brought the DS225+ and DS425+ with the familiar Intel Celeron J4125, but it also quietly removed the kernel graphics driver support that Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby use for hardware transcoding of H.264 and HEVC. This guide explains what changed, why it matters for real-world streaming, and how you can restore GPU-accelerated transcoding on these models using an unofficial SSH method shared by the community. If you rely on your NAS to reshape 4K or high bitrate files for phones, tablets, hotel TVs, or limited connections, this walkthrough will help you get that efficiency back.

Sameer Samat, president of Android ecosystem at Google, asked a TechRadar journalist why they were using an Apple Watch, iPhone, and MacBook:

I asked because we’re going to be combining Chrome OS and Android into a single platform, and I am very interested in how people are using their laptops these days and what they’re getting done.

What are some Android tablet brands in the USA other than Google, Lenovo, and Samsung? I'm looking for a #5G tablet in the sub-$300 range and it's seeming like there's one Samsung, or several hundred random Chinese Amazon sellers that don't even have a brand name on the product listing.

Society needs to normalize households women being successful.

An image with the text "Date: Would you ever become a house husband if I made over $250k/year?" answered by "Me:" with a picture of Sponge Bob wearing a French maid outfit and carrying a drink on a tray

The study, conducted by Dr Demid Getik, explores how mental health is related to income make-up within couples by examining the link between annual income rises for women and the number of clinical mental health diagnoses over a set period of time.

The study finds that as more women take on the breadwinner role in the household, the number of mental health related incidences also increases.

As wives begin earning more than their husbands, the probability of receiving a mental health diagnosis increases by as much as 8% for all those observed in the study, but by as much as 11% for the men.

Lately when I forced to login to FaceBook they will sent a WhatsApp message to my phone number, even though I don't use WhatsApp. I'd like to see if there is really an account with my number. I tried going to the web client but it seems to be requiring to pair with a device app.

Up to one in four patients who are unresponsive after suffering serious brain injuries might actually still be conscious – indicating more patients may be aware of their surroundings than previously realized, new research suggests.

This state of 'hidden consciousness' is now officially known as cognitive motor dissociation (CMD), where cognitive (or thinking) abilities aren't connected to motor (or movement) abilities. Researchers have been looking into CMD for several years.

However, 62 percent of an additional 112 patients who were visibly responding to instructions at the bedside didn't exhibit the expected brain signals showing responsiveness – so the researchers suggest their methods still don't detect everyone with cognitive function.

'Beating the Republican Fascist agenda' is a great candidate. I don't really care how that is spelled on the ballot.

Wow. Talk about professional gaslighting. Not enough people are aware that the Obama-era FTC enacted the policy because AT&T, Comcast, and Verizon were all caught throttling Netflix and prioritizing their own competing services.

But the National Guard is under Federal chain of command, so Pentagon can activate the Texas National Guard right out from under Abbott. Which honestly is probably exactly what Abbott wants so he can roll around whinging about the big mean Federal government usurping the state's resources.

I believe that Google wanted in-app purchases in Fortnite to go through Play Store so that Google would get 30%. And Epic wanted to setup their own in-app billing and keep it all.

All those spiders that you're never more than 10 feet from have started using fitness wearables, and with 8 arms each that's a lot of bluetooth nearby.
