it's slightly cope to say that the iraqi army was incompetent imo
like it was probably about as good as the nva, coalition just had an enormous advantage in sensors tech. proto-digital army vs analog army

i fucking hated law school despite having a lot of formal education in history and philosophy and i barely passed it. anecdotally having an interest in humanities made me dislike studying law.
i really resent that frameworks dont ship to where i live, definitely a mild annoyance to not have the treats unfortunately
ck3 still feels really boring and underdeveloped however many years into its lifespan now, it's so cooked
The moment we're at war is the moment we turn into a war economy as well (like what happened during WW2) and all resources will be put into manufacturing war equipment.
We do actually. Manufacturing jobs were eliminated by automation but the US is A massive part of global manufacturing, with reports putting it between 16 and 22% of the total world manufacturing capacity. And we do that with 8% of our labor force. In virtually every armed operation in the last 40 years, the US's allies have run out of ammo, but we were able to pick up the slack and keep guns firing, without even having to divert civilian manufacturing. The coal mines are still open, the factories are still running, they just don't need more than a skeleton crew to meet demand. The giant doesn't even need to wake up, he can suffocate the world in bombs in his sleep.
redditeurs convinced the US is still capable of WW2 level industrial output lol
the subreddit itself is pulled leftwards of the "neoliberal" politics (thatcherism/reaganism) its team wishes to promote.
a not insignificant fraction of /r/neoliberal posters feel like keynesians/social democrats using liberal rhetoric.
i get irrationally angry every time i see a 😭 or 💀
to comrade glantz tbh for making me a communist
LBJ if u ignore the vietnam war, Carter. Probably JFK too.
you don't want your own country to be a strong political and economic power.
If the influence of my country is a detriment to the healthy development and peoples of other countries then yes it absolutely is fine to not wish my country to be 'strong' in the sense you've defined.
yeah, i mean if it makes you anxious then it clearly is worse for you! i don't want to come off as minimising your struggles, just that examination methods should probably be more flexible in general.
