Overall gaming share is 4%? I think you mean linux useragents account for about 4% of website traffic at measured points- which is not indicative of anything because my crawler also pretends to be things it isn't.

Boss calls me (the sole on-site IT person) on a sickday and tells me something important broke and I need to come and fix it (45 minute bus ride one-way). I know exactly what broke and I tell her if she goes into my office and turn my computer on then I can remote in and fix it in literally 5 seconds. She nearly screams at me saying that my contract doesn't allow remote work and I don't remember what exactly was said after this point but it was something along the lines of:

"It won't be fixed for another 5 days then because I'm not coming in today (Thursday, and I don't work Fridays or Mondays)."

"Ok bye"

"bye"

Guess it wasn't important

Amazon gave me a partial refund for something that arrived with defects and then I requested a full refund because it turns out it was way more broken than I initially thought in exchange for sending it back but I never sent it back and they just approved the full refund.

There is nobody in charge at Amazon costumer support

v !!! POST-MIGRATION EDIT !!! v

I shrunk the LVM partition by 5000 MiB and just ran dd overnight. I had to shuffle my boot-order around a bunch to find the one partition that would boot properly but it all just works.

Hi! My Proxmox machine has 3 disks (see pic). I wish to migrate sdc to a 2TB SSD. I have LXCs on all drives and I would really like to avoid having to restart from backups. I don't have any special configuration on my proxmox, it's pretty clean and basic.

Is it safe to simply dd the old disk to the new one? I can't find an explicit answer to this question that doesn't also have a lot of other variables not relevant to me.

If not, what else can I do?

I regularly post images to lemmy.world communities but that instance also regularly seemingly fails to actually federate the post on their side.

What do I do when this happens? I can easily tell when it happens, because I can just look at my websites log and see that it isn't being spammed by lemmy requests.

Do I delete it and repost it later?

Does it eventually sort itself out?

Something third entirely?

One example is this post, which does not (at time of posting) exist on lemmy.world https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/27691379

The only reason you care is because you've been conditioned to attack anything that could harm your income-potential.

Instead of fighting "AI", how about we fight for a world where artists don't have to monetarily justify their existence?

Damn I was literally going to make this exact comment but sarcastically because it's stupid. Thank you for saving me the effort!

I slap myself every morning because the AN225's last flight was literally from my backyard airport to Ukraine and I didn't go see it because "it was a little chilly".

Denmark will also confiscate and scrap or resell your car if you go a certain percentage over the limit. 100 in a 30 zone would be enough.

You don't have to be a citizen or the owner of the car; if the car is found speeding, that car is getting taken.

It was a huge thing a few years ago when it was implemented because we caught a few lambos joy riding from Germany up through Jutland

I'm a photographer; AVIF and WebP do not serve my needs, JPEG-XL does.

I run my own website down to the hardware in my living room; I will not store 5 variations of any 1 picture just so I can serve the best available to clients when JPEG works everywhere and JPEG-XL offers me a lossless transition from JPG to JXL.

Chromium is literally the only reason JPEG-XL isn't being adopted right now, and it's so obvious that Google is pulling those strings.

JPEG-XL Ride or Die.
