"video games serve as escapism" is such a bad take lmao, video games came into existence as a way to demo the capabilities of computer hardware and it wasn't any deeper than that. they typically still serve the same purpose, with the exception of story-based games which are, actually, a place people can and do spread their ideas via storytelling
i was chillin with the homeless homie
im being pedantic but i feel like omnicide counts as genocide
I've had good experiences at thrift stores, especially local ones. While they're definitely filled with basic stuff like t-shirts, I've found plenty of cool stuff too. They're not one-stop shops for sure though, you'd wanna do a few stops at a couple to get a really diverse wardrobe. I'm also the kind of person to wander and look at other stuff in thrift stores too, I've found some cool historical stuff about my area in them.
As far as the organizations behind them go, I'd generally try to avoid chains like Goodwill or Salvation Army because they've done (and probably are still doing) some sucky stuff, if I remember right Salvation Army donates/d to anti-LGBT groups and Goodwill exploits disabled people, but I have no sources on hand so take it as you will.
Nice to see the younger ones polled favor Palestine's struggle more
"New York City rejects this" idk man looks like nyc residents support it
started a job that actually doesn't seem that bad after not having income for 2 months so thats cool 👍
As another commenter suggested, you should probably use Linux Mint for that purpose, since Mint is far easier to use, plus Tails resets itself upon shutdown so you'd need an external drive for permanent storage.
If you absolutely must stay on Windows, there's a project called Atlas OS that tries to strip a Windows installation of its telemetry and bloat, however there are privacy concerns with that, like up until a little while ago it actually disabled Windows Defender by default
It's kinda funny to me because most of the people I know look upon suits and ties as untrustworthy anymore
I think the New Zealand thing has to do with nuclear war more than climate change, since they're far from the theoretically worst affected areas from fallout
The amount of crabs on this post briefly turned my phone into a slideshow
Iirc, DXVK translates DirectX API calls to Vulkan calls, meaning the original game renders to Vulkan in the end. With this, no translation will be needed which should result in slightly better performance and more likely, much better compatibility.
