really enjoying it. the s2e7 antics made me want to revisit s1 again.

I have a source with knowledge of the artist and they are convinced they did this in a deliberately fucked up way just to fuck with the royals.

so what is being proposed here? prequel? sequel? "what if" where gollum gets to run off and open a diner?

nolan/joy should have been thrown in actual jail for how they ran that shit into the ground in record time

I found the pacing a little ponderous, also the cut-to-black structure reminded me of a much better show (scavengers reign) but overall I didn't hate it. I do think nolan and co trip over themselves a bit trying to be too clever / subvert expectation, but not to an obnoxious westworld degree thankfully

unfortunately the whole season mostly sucked, a few cool moments aside

It's not a classic or anything (the whole scenario is pretty op only contrived) but it has some solid laughs, decent performances and doesn't overstay its welcome. Obviously the social commentary is limited/lib AF but that comes with the territory. Sterling K Brown is really good and I'd like to see him get Supporting (to the extent that I care).

the death note fanbase was by far the creepiest I ever organically encountered online in the mid aughts (though admittedly I was less online than many)

Decided to fly down to amerikkka from klanada for a change of scenery. Spending a week in KY with a dear friend. Definitely going to sample some moonshine. Happy to be somewhere different from home.

that one (KOtS) and Ping Pong are my fave low key ones I've seen

Implicitly, and very very low key in its comedy, I recommend Kelly Reichardt's Showing Up.
