I've seen people somehow complain about him not getting this done, but like it's really clear he's doing all he can.
Yeah Annapurna have had an amazing track record as an indie publisher. Only game of theirs that really disappointed me is 12 Minutes.
I mean, for most distros you should be about to install and use the OS without touching the terminal. Yeah, you may want to use it for some things (idk what you were trying to do) but it's kind of the same thing in Windows with registry edits and such. It's a tool and if you don't know how to use it, you're probably gonna get lost.
Also how is it easier to go to a webpage to download an installer instead of using a store? Even microsoft is trying to move in that direction.
I don't want to say your experience is invalid because I definitely think Linux can improve in terms of user experience. But it's not very helpful to just complain about stuff vaguely.
Not if you just eat them whole.
How would the distro tell if the tar.gz is a program or just a bunch of compressed files? I tend to use tar files for compression rather than for distributing or installing software
Also worth noting that fnv was developed under heavy crunch and it's a miracle the game is as good as it is. It's the exception, not the rule.
I don't think so much that cities attract left-leaning individuals as much as the people who live there tend to be (or become) left leaning.
In rural communities you tend to get a lot of families who have lived in the area for a long time, and not much movement. So they tend to be more homogenous. Cities tend to attract lots of different people (and more tends to happen), so you're gonna be exposed to a lot more and it will be harder to stay isolated.
Another factor is the white flight that occured after ww2. Lots of cheap housing was put up outside cities, and lots of white families moved out to live in them (in some cases they didn't even let black people buy houses in these developments). So you get a lot of conservative, white people moving out in the suburbs, leaving a lot of minorities who tend to be more liberal.
Yeah the beginning can be slow and a bit directionless, but it's definitely worth sticking with it imo.
One thing I'll give gnome, it's really good for 2-in-1s. The desktop metaphor works really well for tablet and trackpad use out of the box.
Sometimes I get tired.
Got to 18 with the wonderful password "🥚JanuaryVPassVIIword$Shellr3ny45about🌕🌖chile28Ng3+"
I think I'm gonna call it quits for now.
No flatpak? Who uses flatpak in the terminal?
Also pretty much every distro has some sort of GUI update manager.
