If the goal of this wasn't oppression and ultimately eugenics it could make for a useful policy (in a better world where we actually take care of each other).

Neurodivergent people, IIRC especially autistic people are much more likely to identify as LGBTQ. And while research, education, and communication about neurodivergence are getting better, a lot of people fall through the cracks and are incorrectly diagnosed or not diagnosed at all.

As is typical with capitalists, their greed comes first. They have securitized and derivated student debt much like mortgage debt in the 2000s. I'm sure there's a way to roll all that back (besides a 2008 type crash) but not without massive costs and losses.

DDR did favorably compared to BRD, even given the war reparations the East was forced to pay while the West got loads of investment and gifts from the US.

All West Germany had over the east was exorbitant quantities of shiny unnecessary consumer goods, which was enough to convince some people to move over.

Then with the ~~reunification~~ annexation of the DDR by the BRD all enterprises were sold to western capitalists for nothing, so the people were left with nothing, and still get the short end of the stick to this day.

Also just an observation: what authority did Mr. Gorbachev have to tear down that wall, which was in no part on Soviet territory? It would be like asking Mr. Xi to tear down the US border wall.

I wonder what the purpose of such atrocity propaganda is after the goals of the empire have already been achieved? To make HTS look like the good guys without needing to censor what's reported on them as much?

What then, is the border policy of the EU if not "political violence." What then, is the policy of the EU vis a vis pro-Palestinian voices if not "political violence." What then, is the belligerent escalation of violence of the EU via a vis Russia if not "political violence"?

And what position does an unelected supranational executive official have anything to do with democracy?

They care about surveillance alright. They just need to be the ones surveilling and reality inventing.

Geopolitical Economy Report did two long video discussions on China's growth last month which are worth watching if you're interested.

In short, yes. China can keep up about a 5% average annual growth rate. Because capital is controlled by the state, and the state invests in developing the means of production and improving people's quality of life, China is indeed capable of achieving their development goals.

Interestingly enough, just as the decade or so of near ten percent annual growth was planned and achieved, the recent deceleration to about five percent growth was also planned.

Russia would revive the conflict because western libs project all of their own faults onto the enemy of the day.

Stuff like this gets published but libs still think Ukraine is sovereign.

I'm also kind of surprised that the US would push to get rid of an apparently total neo-Nazi general, but I guess there is a limit to the mistakes they'll allow even from their fascist friends.

The French had a pretty good way of shutting up insufferable rich asshats.

There's no need for reactionary propaganda here.
