Germany is already preparing to do this.

Every time the method and data of these kind of hacks isn't released to the public I get limited hangout vibes.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, he eats for a lifetime.

US foreign aid is like the former, with the additional element that it actively prevents anyone from teaching themselves how to fish.

Now with USAID gone and BRICS offering a real alternative to the Bretton Woods institutions, resource rich and overexploited countries have a real chance of teaching themselves how to fish and become sovereign.

Yes, but more like the bancor (a la Keynes) for central bank settlements rather than a currency you or I could use to buy lunch.

I wanted to point out the same quote. Germany has been on the same ride, with absolutely laughable "anti-AfD" protests last winter giving way to the ruling socdem-conservative coalition proposing AfD immigration policy. Everyone missed the part where the AfD people said their most successful tactic has been moving the consensus on migrants towards their perspective.

$916B is even an undercount, it's more like $1.5T. There's a bunch of related spending that gets distributed to other departments.

It's a call for freedom from oppression and genocide, specifically in the Palestinian context. "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." Germany has decreed it hate speech.

There will just be an exemption for supply chains with US elements.

Sounds like a spontaneous opportunistic NED/CIA/western-billionaire-NGO colour revolution attempt to me.

Of course they were. Just off the top of my head I can name 1968, 1980, and 2000. That these were all years in which Republicans won the White House is a genuine coincidence though, election rigging and other actions of the capitalist class to control the state institutions are quite indifferent to political parties.

In Germany drivers licenses issued before 2013 do not expire, meaning basically every senior would have to give up their license of their own accord. Spoiler: they generally keep driving, even when it's abundantly clear that they shouldn't.
