Moved back to my small Ontario town after like a decade away a couple years back and it's all virtually the same (except with way more empty storefronts downtown, thank god we give landlords a tax break for letting them stand vacant!).

wtf does my "disgust" have to do with the facts presented? You're just another shrill lib moralist who demands moral purity instead of, y'know, facts. Other people here have already politely pointed out how the facts here line up... how is it not naive to demand that everyone you're getting info from pass your own personal idpol litmus test before accepting the facts? Just debunk the claims with facts or move on.

this isn't a struggle session btw lol none of us are terribly interested in your "struggles" after showing your ass like this.

When their stupid ass plans don't work out domestically they can just shrug and blame it on an external factor and move on, or shuffle the deck electorally. They're not accustomed to being in a situation where they physically, materially cannot get what they want and no amount of reality warping and coddling by their institutions can change that. It does not compute.

I don't think it's impossible but the political economy just doesn't seem to be there afaik. The state would need to shake off the parasites at the pentagon that are charging them 10k for trash cans and bolts for one thing, and I can't really see how. It's not like there's an American Caesar waiting in the wings who can monopolize power to do necessary restructuring of the empire. The whole point of the system the founding fathers created was to prevent that from ever happening. Kamala of all people is the best they've got for this monumental project.

This type of thing will absolutely, undoubtedly boomerang back to the imperial core. And when it does all the libbies who shrugged at the genocide and ignored our warnings that the violence will end up blowing back at them will just move the goalposts again. I hope other enemies of the state are observing all of this and triple-checking their supply chains.

"At least eight people were killed and 2,750 others including Hezbollah fighters, medics and Iran's envoy to Beirut were wounded on Tuesday when the pagers they use to communicate exploded across Lebanon, security sources and the Lebanese health minister said...

Lebanese internal security forces said a number of wireless communication devices were detonated across Lebanon, especially in Beirut's southern suburbs, a Hezbollah stronghold. The pagers that detonated were the latest model brought in by Hezbollah in recent months, three security sources said."

They're acting like China promised to turn lib or something lol why is it always our problem when their stupid ass "analyses" turn out to be naive

Indeed. I wish I could still see them as people who need to be shown another way, but the 21st century is almost a quarter of the way finished and they STILL choose to use the same strategies that have cyclically, objectively failed to deliver the goods so far. Doesn't really seem like naïveté to me anymore.

Hillary had actual ~~slaves~~ extremely cheap prisoner-servants at the governor's mansion.

It's true, I'm one of the slaves. They have us towing giant blocks of granite through the Gobi desert to make a 500 ft tall monument to Xi.

"Western governments are urging their citizens to leave Lebanon. Rena Bitter, the U.S. assistant secretary for consular affairs, urged Americans to leave before a crisis begins, while the British Foreign Office advised its citizens “against all travel to Lebanon.” Sweden, Ireland, and France also issued similar statements. Meanwhile, Cyprus said it is ready to receive and help repatriate civilians if tensions between Israel and Lebanon worsen. Germany and Greece’s national carriers have paused flights to Beirut for the remainder of this week."

They act like a needy, abusive spouse on the world stage. No wonder Japan is looking for the door. I think it's impossible now for a lot of decision makers globally to internally sell closer political/economic relations with the US. Why bet on a losing horse?
