i just learned not so long ago the concept of "man cave" where they have rules like "no women allowed here" which in my opinion, sounds everything but het. but for some reason, it is considered very manly and very het

i watched the first 3 ones and the funny part is that I cannot recall a single thing about them. i don't have good memory but I usually remember the biggest plot points or the impacting scenes and for these ones there is nothing other than data. it feels so weird because it means that they didn't had a single impacting thing that the brain could keep.

i wanted to watch the new one but it's hard to commit on something i know it's going directly into oblivion

scream of independence

this is probably the first time I read this in english and sounds rad. it could be the name of a metal band or something

I hear "Lucho, no estas solo, carajo" which would translate to "Lucho, you are not alone". Lucho is a way of referring to people called Luis (Luis Arce being the president's name) and Carajo would be something close to "damn" as a possitive expression to accentuate the idea (not really sure how to translate it tbh)

is this really the feeling people outside mexico has about the situation? as someone that lived a big part of his mandate, and part of claudia's mandate on mexico city, I really feel like it was just a neoliberal government disguised as left populism. the biggest changes that I can remember were giving way too much power to the military and ignoring a bunch of problems.

there were a couple of things that I remember being good, but none of them looks remarkable enough to make me thing about socialism. socdem at most and I'm not even sure.

that said, maybe living the period from inside gives me some kind of short sighted view, but a bunch of people there that I know that has leftist tendencies (most of them anarchists, no clue why) have a similar readings of the situation

as far as I am aware of, she has been on the "violence is bad. both sides" side. amlo has been in the "is not a genocide but i won't take an explicit stance" side, so I guess that is part of the reason she has not said anything concrete.

i mean, the main reason this type of "representation" appeals to chuds is because the "lifeless plastic doll" part and the rest is just part of the stereotype. it's very hard to find chuds that actually like real women

saying "yuri is for the male gaze" is only possible if you have never read yuri... at all like, there are works that are meant for a male(?) audience but they are just a small minority in a genre that is clearly written from women for women (can't remember a single one that is not hentai tho, but pretty sure they are somewhere there)

what i would agree is that there is many "yuri bait" in anime that never resolves and is probably meant for fetishization but even then some of that can be simplified as "author didn't made it explicit to avoid backlash on something and the fandom can't accept anything that is not explicitly said"

RANT OFF

and yes. Josei is really a category full of gems. there are so many good stories there but usually requires some work to discover and to get

this one was never really popular, but hardware gimmicks. from the light gun to dance pads, going through wii motion controllers or even double screen of the ds and wiiu (fuck you nintendo for abandonning the wiiu) I really miss having different ways of playing games that was not only game pads or keyboard + mouse. even if the games were not great, having some physical interaction with them was fun to explore. sadly, even when they were "common", not many games made very good use of them, resulting in most games being mediocre at best

the closest modern equivalent I can think about is VR and it is not something I want to play with

capitalism (or at least the weird version of it used in the tech world) is about short term profit. if they get good numbers from this, they can make future projections of an imaginary increase over the years and make the ad companies happy for a while. they do not care about breaking the product in the long term
