U.S. sanctions have devastated the country. But the Maduro administration appears to have successfully weathered the worst of the storm. Stores are full again, inflation has been tamed, and Venezuela now produces 96% of the food it consumes. On top of that, Maduro’s signature housing policy, Misión Gran Vivienda Venezuela, just celebrated the building of its five-millionth apartment. “Venezuela is healing” is a common slogan across the country.

While the likes of Anthony Blinken and Marco Rubio condemn the electoral process in Venezuela, their positions are not supported by the dozens of Americans who were actually on the ground in Venezuela last week. It is doubtful, however, that those observers’ words and testimonies will be heeded by those in power. After all, for the U.S. Empire, some issues are too important to let the truth get in the way.

Where can I read about this? That sound amazing 😭

It would be hilarious if hexbear did go down and that’s how we learn it is an op

Hey, this is incredibly rude. I am speaking to the ruling class in America and their objectively bad policy of belligerence in an attempt to bring down the world with them, and how the world is being looted by capitalist. I am not criticizing Russia and DPRK.

Learn some manners.

What are you WAITING FOR?

One of the messages driven home by the first series, is that Aang's pacifist ideology is what's needed most in a time of war. He entertains, educates, and elucidates non-compliance, and resistance. And that resistance can be as loose as a gentle breeze or a powerful gale. The airbenders primarily are dodging and using their opponents movement against them, and Aang tries very hard to be a gentle soul, and he only accesses the Avatar State in moments of a) great peril, b) the need for overwhelming force. Aang learns to be more mature as the weight of the responsibility sets in, without fully losing himself in the journey. He is not a grimdark hero, and it is what's such a beautiful thing about the show. Even the cop-out at the end, with Spiritual Bending, instead of killing Ozai. He tried really hard to find an alternative to a moment of violence that would have continued repercussions (as every other moment of violent does, in this show).

Making the show grimdark is such a failure in understanding the source material and appreciating what make the show, the show.
