In a post on X on Friday, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, speaker of Majlis (Iran's Parliament), asked, "What share of global oil, LNG, wheat, rice, and fertilizer shipments transits the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait?"

"Which countries and companies account for the highest transit volumes through the strait?" the post went on.

On February 28, the United States and the Israeli regime began their latest bout of unprovoked aggression targeting Iran. The Islamic Republic has responded by staging Operation True Promise 4, retaliatory strikes that have so far seen the country's Armed Forces unleash at least 93 waves of determined reprisal against strategic and sensitive American and Israeli targets throughout the region.

Simultaneously, the Islamic Republic has closed the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20 percent of the world's liquefied natural gas (LNG) and 25 percent of seaborne oil trade pass each year, to vessels associated with the aggressors and those complicit in their atrocities.

The move has contributed to skyrocketing energy and related prices in many states, something that has translated into political pressure on those leading and supporting the aggression.

On March 28, a month into the aggression, Yemen's Armed Forces officially announced their entry into the battlefield in favor of the country and regional resistance movements that have come under similar escalation on the part of Washington and Tel Aviv.

A vital route for trade, energy

The Yemeni servicemen have already displayed notable efficacy as far as destabilizing maritime shipment for adversaries is concerned.

In 2023, they began striking Israeli vessels and those either heading to or departing from the occupied territories, therefore, imposing a blockade on the Israeli regime in response to its war of genocide on the Gaza Strip.

Recently, a senior official with Yemen's popular resistance Ansarullah movement said all options remained under consideration, including closing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait to vessels belonging to countries involved in aggression targeting Iran and regional resistance groups.

The strait links the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea, serving as a crucial gateway between Asia, Africa, and Europe through the Suez Canal.

According to figures cited in recent analyses, more than eight million barrels of oil pass through the strait each day, along with 58 LNG carriers. Around 40 percent of trade between Asia and Europe moves along the route.

The corridor also carries approximately 20 percent of global maritime rice trade, 20 percent of global maritime wheat trade, and 40 percent of maritime fertilizer trade.

The annual value of goods and services passing through the route is estimated at more than $800 billion.

Any disruption in shipment through the passageway would likely force ships to reroute around the Cape of Good Hope, adding eight to nine days to voyages and driving up shipping costs, insurance premiums, and prices of goods in Europe and Asia.

The European naval mission Aspides has already warned commercial vessels to avoid Yemeni waters, reflecting mounting concern over the corridor’s security.

A growing number of patients who need transfusions are asking for blood from unvaccinated donors, a difficult request to honor, given that blood centers don’t ask donors if they’ve been vaccinated and don’t label blood according to vaccinated status.

These requests often delay care and, in some cases, harm patients’ health, according to a report published late last week in Transfusion. Health systems need to develop standardized policies, include counseling, to handle these requests, the report’s authors wrote.

The US blood supply is incredibly safe, the authors wrote. Donations are carefully screened for HIV and other potentially infectious microbes. There’s no evidence that blood from unvaccinated people is any safer than other blood.

The requests for “unvaccinated blood” increased after the release of COVID-19 vaccines, which saved an estimated 20 million lives in their first year of use, but which have been the subject of misinformation and conspiracy theories.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center received 15 requests for unvaccinated blood from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025, according to the new report. The median age of patients was 17 years old; more than half were children.

Problems with ‘direct’ blood donations

Hospitals have no way to know if donated blood comes from vaccinated or unvaccinated donors, and there are no tests that can differentiate the blood of vaccinated from unvaccinated people.

That leads some patients to ask for blood donation from particular people, such as relatives, whom they know to be unvaccinated. That’s a risky request, because such “direct donations” from first-time donors are more likely to contain potentially harmful pathogens compared with blood collected from people who donate regularly, authors noted.

In the study, 13 patients received blood donated specifically for them by family members.

Two patients got much sicker after refusing a transfusion with standard blood. One developed anemia, which occurs when people don’t have enough iron in their blood. The other developed hemodynamic shock, a life-threatening condition in which people have inadequate blood flow and oxygen delivery to tissues, which can cause multi-organ failure.

These cases challenge the claim by some anti-vaccine activists that insisting on blood from unvaccinated donors is “a benign or low-risk accommodation,” authors wrote.

Lawmakers in several states—including Connecticut, Kentucky, MontanaOklahoma, Tennessee and Wyoming—have attempted to mandate that patients have access to blood transfusions from unvaccinated donors.

In January, an Oklahoma legislator went so far as to propose that his state run its own blood bank in order to provide blood donations from unvaccinated people.

So far, none of the bills has passed.

Iran Army launches combat drones during a military exercise (File photo)

The Iranian army has conducted new drone attacks on US military positions in Jordan and Kuwait, as well as on an aluminum factory in Bahrain involved in the production of American military equipment.

The army announced that the attacks took place early on Friday in response to the US strikes on the country’s civilian infrastructure, including industrial facilities, Isfahan and Khuzestan Steel plants, and the B1 Bridge.

According to the statement, the drone attacks targeted “the logistics and support equipment warehouse and the housing facilities of the US terrorist army’s troops in Jordan,” as well as the site where “the mechanized battalion of the US armored brigade” was deployed at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait.

Camp Arifjan is a support base for various armored vehicles in Kuwait and hosts US infantry brigades and field support units, among others.

Among the targets struck by Iranian drones earlier in the day was “the largest aluminum smelting plant in Bahrain, which supports US military industries.”

Aluminum Bahrain (Alba) has links to US military-related supply chains.

The statement vowed to “respond to any hostile action by the enemy in a combined manner beyond expectations.”

The US and Israel started a fresh round of aerial aggression on Iran on February 28, some eight months after they carried out unprovoked attacks on the country.

Iran began to swiftly retaliate against the strikes by launching barrages of missiles and drone attacks on the Israeli-occupied territories as well as on US bases and interests in regional countries.

An Iranian soldier holds one of the fragments of the downed F-35. X/ @N_fozz

The Revolutionary Guard criticizes White House’s fake narrative.

On Friday, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that the country’s advanced aerospace defense system shot down a second U.S. F-35 fighter jet in central Iran.

The aircraft, which belonged to the Lakenheath squadron, was completely destroyed after the impact. Officials have no information on the pilot’s condition because the jet disintegrated upon crashing.

The Revolutionary Guard released several photos of the wreckage. In one image, the IRGC issued a sharp criticism of the White House’s lies.

“These days, the Americans’ narrative guidelines are: calling a lack of targets ‘dynamic operations’; presenting defeat as ‘the end of the mission’; portraying discord as ‘a change of command’; selling the need for an agreement out of weakness as a ‘smart deal’; and renaming regional withdrawal as ‘redefining priorities’,” the Guard said.

— Mario Nawfal (@MarioNawfal) April 3, 2026

Early Friday, the U.S. military activated a search-and-rescue operation for the pilot, who has not been located.

In early March, Iranian armed forces also shot down an F-35 stealth fighter using previously undisclosed, domestically produced air defense technology.

That shootdown caused surprise and confusion among U.S. military analysts, who had considered the F-35 nearly undetectable by conventional radar.

This second downing of an F-35 confirms that Iran has deciphered the electronic signature of fifth-generation U.S. aircraft, dramatically altering the balance of power in regional airspace.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized the importance of this collaboration for advancing one of the most challenging fields in modern medicine. “This alliance demonstrates our shared commitment to the health and well-being of our people,” he stated during the official ceremony. During the meeting, Kira Zaslavskaya, head of the Russian pharmaceutical group Promomed, detailed the terms of the agreement, which is formalized through a memorandum of understanding with the Cuban company BioCubaFarma.

The central objective is to create a unique, multi-target cancer vaccine that combines the expertise of both nations. “We are establishing a priority relationship with Cuba in the fight against cancer,” Zaslavskaya emphasized.

The collaboration between Promomed and BioCubaFarma seeks to integrate Russia’s cutting-edge technology with Cuba’s renowned expertise in biotechnology and the development of complex medications.

This synergy aims to accelerate the creation of new therapies that can benefit not only the populations of both countries but also represent a significant contribution to global medicine.

The announcement comes amid significant advances for Russia in the field of cancer immunotherapy. Recently, the Russian Ministry of Health reported the first administration of its personalized cancer vaccine, Neooncovac.

A 60-year-old man with cutaneous melanoma became the first patient to receive this innovative treatment, reinforcing the technical expertise that Russia brings to this strategic alliance.

The text reads, “Our country attaches special importance to relations with the Eurasian Economic Union, and recognizes the broad prospects for cooperation in medicine and the biopharmaceutical industry, energy, transport and the agri-food industry.” The intergovernmental session, co-chaired by Dmitry Chernyshenko and Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Oscar Pérez-Oliva, concluded with positive results, as highlighted on social media by Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero. The meeting was characterized by a fruitful and positive dialogue, with both sides agreeing on the need to expand and strengthen economic and trade ties.

The Prime Minister emphasized the Cuban side’s gratitude to the Russian government and people for their expressions of solidarity and support amidst the complex economic scenario resulting from the restrictive measures imposed by the United States. Pérez-Oliva, who also serves as Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, met with the governors of St. Petersburg and Leningrad to deepen cooperation in key sectors.

In the health sector, the Cuban delegation held discussions with Mikhail Murashko, Russia’s Minister of Health. At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Cuban State Center for the Control of Medicines and Medical Equipment (CECMED) and the Scientific Center for Expertise in Medical Products of the Russian Ministry of Health, establishing a joint regulatory framework for future developments.

Cooperation in biotechnology between Russia and Cuba is positioned as a strategic axis for access to innovative cancer therapies, in a global context where joint research and the exchange of scientific knowledge are becoming increasingly important for addressing complex health challenges.

Cuba is set to receive oil for the first time in 2026, following the March 31st arrival at Matanzas Bay of the Russian tanker Anatoly Kolodkin with over 730,000 barrels, or 100,000 tons, of crude oil. The tanker and its owner, the state-owned company Sovcomflot, have had sanctions on it since 2024. Late last year, the Trump administration announced severe tariffs on any country selling oil to Cuba and, after the kidnapping of Nicolas Maduro and Cilia Flores, prevented Venezuelan ships from reaching the island. All of this on top of decades of sanctions put the island into a severe fuel shortage, an attempt to strangle and starve the population. The delivery of the Russian tanker is a much-needed event and pokes a hole in the U.S. blockade of Cuba, but much more remains to be done.

Also in March, the Nuesta America convoy to Cuba brought people from around the hemisphere and the world to Cuba in solidarity, bringing with them aid including solar generators and solar panels to help Cuba advance its renewable energy infrastructure in the face of the blockade. Our guest today was part of the Youth Brigade of dozens of organizers who went to Cuba, where he met, exchanged and stood together with Cuban youth, building bonds of solidarity. Phill Campbell, an organizer and member of Artists Against Apartheid, joins the show.

Cuba is set to receive oil for the first time in 2026 after the Russian tanker Anatoly Kolodkin arrived at Matanzas Bay with over 730,000 barrels of crude.

Just a reminder what slipped thru as expected, much more important than the flotilla 2.0. Russia won't be inhibited from supporting Cuba. China will let the renewables flow. Otherwise the article is just typical lib protest slop attempting to attach their efforts to Russia's support when they have nothing to do with it an cannot scale.

The Handala hacktivists breached servers of the main operator of Israel's air defense network

The Handala hacker group has announced that it carried out a cyber attack against a company chiefly involved in the operation of command and control systems of Israel's air defense network, cautioning that no Israeli military site in the occupied territories would remain secure.

The pro-resistance group said in a statement on Thursday that it successfully breached the servers of PSK WIND Technologies, and deleted all sensitive information.

PSK WIND Technologies reportedly serves as the backbone of the Israeli military infrastructure's command and control centers, and facilitates a smooth flow of communication among them.

Following the cyber attack, all top-secret information about the Israeli regime's critical command and control centers, their communication systems as well as classified documents were exposed, and are now accessible to resistance movements operating across West Asia.

"What you (Israel) are celebrating as Passover will soon turn into an unforgettable day. None of your command and defense systems will be safe anymore, and powerful strikes of the resistance front are imminent," a message published by Handala online read.

The message added that the attack marks the onset of the collapse of Israel's false sense of security, stressing that no system, regardless of its sophistication and compliance with military standards, will not be immune to the cyber capabilities of resistance forces.

Over the past two years, cyber attacks on various Israeli organizations have reportedly led to significant leaks of sensitive information.

These attacks have highlighted the vulnerabilities in Israel's cyber security infrastructure.

According to Handala, the hacktivist group has previously targeted Israeli companies such as Rafael, Appletec and Silver Shadow, asserting to obtain large volumes of confidential data.

Handala infiltrated the central servers of the primary contractor operating, maintaining, & synchronizing PiSSrael's integrated AD network. "The group gained access to sensitive data, including radar mapping, operational logs, and communication protocols linked to the Iron Dome, David's Sling, and Arrow systems." They released samples of the stolen material online. 👀 PiSSraeli authorities have not yet issued an official response. 🥀

The People’s Bank of China’s (PBOC) Governor Pan Gongsheng announced that the country is pursuing the internationalization of the Chinese yuan. The BRICS member aims to simplify the yuan for cross-border transactions and promote its usage in trade.

“We are gradually promoting yuan internationalization,” said Gongsheng in a press conference. The promotion of the yuan comes at a time when BRICS is scaling back on the de-dollarization initiative. China is moving ahead with the ideology to make the local currency be used for global exchange.

“China will create a more safe, efficient, and diversified system of cross-border payments,” said Gongsheng. This includes pushing the yuan among BRICS members for payment settlements. Russia is already onboard as it settled nearly 90% of trade with China in local currencies.

The optimization of financial flows is “an integral part of the overall process of reforms and openness of China,” the governor added. The liberalization degree in this sphere continues growing, he explained. The BRICS member China aims to liberalize the yuan after remaining conservative for years.

BRICS: The Yuan Charting a New Course

China has been actively promoting the yuan within BRICS and now plans to go beyond the alliance. The People’s Bank of China “firmly promotes international financial cooperation and proactively participates in global financial management,” Gongsheng noted.

The governor added that BRICS member China is regularly in contact with the European Union for yuan usage. The country is also in contact with Brazil and the Global South, urging cooperation on the front. He added that consultations are being held, and the proactive participation could push the currency ahead.

China could also promote the yuan in the upcoming BRICS summit in New Delhi this year. However, the alliance is consensus-based and only after all members agree can the ideology go ahead.

Kamala campaigned on being harsher on immigration than Trump. She's the one who threw what should have been the easiest election ever. Nobody like Trump term 1.
