Okay I'm drunk and also a bit naive, I've seen a couple of videos/pictures of elderly captured senior settlers with Hamas just having what looks like a grand old time. Are there real and being nice to these old grannies, are they joke images from some other shit? Updates on my Marxist reading journey: I'm waiting for my books to come in the mail and I read a bit of Engels yesterday for the first time and OH MY GOD he is so much easier to read than Marx. I only read an introduction to the creation of the middle class in Socialism: Utopian and Scientific and I felt like it was a contemporary writer the whole time.

Also I finished Wage Labor and Capital and now I'm seeing that, if value increases for one thing, it comes from the decrease in value of something else in everything. Like things only improve at the expense of another. Is that dialectics? Lol. Anyway I'm obsessed with reading now more than I have been in a long time, perhaps because I feel challenged. Let's see how long it lasts; I have a LONG ass reading list so I feel like I have to read as fast as possible before my brain randomly decides that it doesn't care anymore.

There is another for profit company running a shelter in my town....as a service provider I fucking hate it, but they (the county) literally open places up like this, throw a bid at already overburdened/underpaid front line workers and hope they come in and create a whole fucking new program from the ground up. And it's usually the ACTUAL Frontline workers who do this, not like middle management or whatever. At least in my case. Then these for profits swoop in instead. It's fucking weird

Holy moly, that is such a garbage response lol. It just became very obvious to me in the past year or so just how much people will spew the most meaningless takes and try to pass it off as intelligent because they have a decent vocabulary.
