RoP has many flaws that could probably be forgiven if it wasn't just such a slog to get through. Screwing up the canon and characters and everything is one thing but at least make it good. Jackson's films mess with the canon too but the original trilogy is still timeless because it was so well done

I love things like this. Movies that don't see the light of day until years after filming. Have you seen New York Ninja? Shot in 1984 and shelved until someone found it in like 2020. It was like 8 hours of film with no sound, full script, storyboards, or actor credits. A director had to edit it down to movie length, reconstruct a script by reading the actors lips, and have all the ADR done.
