Evo never bothered to pick a successor and wanted to run for a third term instead, then he got couped and had to flee the country. When the next elections were held Acre won handily thereby pretty much defeating the coup. Evo returned and wanted back control of MAS on account of still wanting a third term as well as Arce exposing himself as a lib (not sure how exactly just what I've heard). So MAS split between Evo loyalists and Arce supporters, IIRC they both claim to lead MAS at the same time.
I read that pro-Palestine accounts started getting shut down very aggressively pretty much right away, but I don't have an account there so I cannot independently verify that.

This was an absolutely fantastic article. And, honestly, makes me feel (even more) deeply saddened that the only major threat ever posed against fascism (the USSR) was defeated.
