So the productive forces have reached a point where small militaries are able to embargo and drone strike Israel, effectively making empires impossible to sustain.

Mfw the negation negates. CommiePOGGERS

“Thank you for sending me this empire’s frontier, for if you hadn’t I would have never gotten the pleasure of witnessing its return it home”

This article is so fucking funny. "Yes, Ansar Allah said they're responsible for this attack, yes, all the evidence points towards them being responsible for this attack, but are we really sure it was them, really?" It really feels like whoever wrote this piece is really trying to minimize how capable Ansar Allah are, especially since they blame "human error" (by the Israelis) for the lack of warning about the attack when Ansar Allah has said this is a new type of drone that is undetectable by radar.

I guess I'm just more willing to take Ansar Allah at their word than whoever wrote this article, and I find it deeply amusing how much hedging you have to do if you refuse to believe that Ansar Allah is capable of doing the things they say they're doing.

The only thing I'm suspicious of is a prop-driven drone having a low radar profile - my understanding was that props are pretty much giant radar reflectors for all intents and purposes

[-] emizeko@hexbear.net 40 points 4 months ago

it probably helped a lot that it was flying at an altitude of like... 5 to 10 meters

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 30 points 4 months ago

that's true

I wonder where it was launched from

[-] emizeko@hexbear.net 32 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

speculative from an IbnRiad retweet, but makes ~~the most~~ some sense

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 23 points 4 months ago

big if true, I was thinking it might have been launched in the med or off the coast of the med

[-] emizeko@hexbear.net 21 points 4 months ago

yeah after more reflection that drone made a big boom and is small enough that how much fuel or battery could it really carry? maybe it was launched from a speedboat in the med

[-] nat_turner_overdrive@hexbear.net 16 points 4 months ago

I imagine detection would be a lot harder if it were launched closer as well, wonder if the yemenis will spill the details eventually

[-] da_gay_pussy_eatah@hexbear.net 8 points 4 months ago

Those drones have reported ranges of 1500-1800km, so 2000 isn't so unbelievable.

[-] GlueBear@hexbear.net 20 points 4 months ago

Didn't a couple of them (yemenis) allegedly break into Gaza

[-] sexywheat@hexbear.net 7 points 4 months ago

They released a video of them training to enter Gaza, but I never heard of them actually entering (yet)

The drone hit just a block from the U.S. Embassy Branch Office, which is on the oceanfront.

Ansarallah Allah do not fuck around.

[-] DefinitelyNotAPhone@hexbear.net 45 points 4 months ago

Unreasonably based warning shot across the bow of the empire.

[-] peeonyou@hexbear.net 43 points 4 months ago

On telegram last night they were talking about how it was a new drone type purpose built to be undetectable to Israel's air defenses

[-] Xx_Aru_xX@hexbear.net 26 points 4 months ago

they named the drone "Yaffa" (the original name of Tel Aviv)

[-] Ocommie63@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 4 months ago

Yaffa will be freed by the Yaffa drones!!!

[-] bennieandthez@lemmygrad.ml 15 points 4 months ago

"theory can only take you so far" - yemeni engineers

[-] GlueBear@hexbear.net 39 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

How the fuck are you getting hit by Yemen before Hezbollah?

Edit: I should add: before getting into a war with Hezbollah

[-] REEEEvolution@lemmygrad.ml 16 points 4 months ago

You know, when everyone is paying attention to what Hezbollah might do, no one notices Ansarallah sneaking up on them!

The geopolitical equivalent of a few pebbles rolling down a mountain, presaging an avalanche.

As a rule of thumb, whenever I see Yemen in the news, I always think that I'm a citizen in One Piece hearing about what the Straw Hats are up to while resisting villains.

[-] Evilphd666@hexbear.net 32 points 4 months ago

What a massive embarrassment to the Empire and Zionist colonizers.
