I just gave up on Project Hail Mary. Yup, still not so keen on sci-fi. So happens one of my preorders on Google Play Books just showed up in my library today, Brandon Sanderson’s secret project #3, Yuni and the Nightmare Painter, so I’ve started that. Title sounds like some kinda romance but as usual, his books just suck you in.
I may do a reread of either his Mistborn series or Christian Cameron’s Long War Series next.
A couple more new books that I preordered will be dropping next month, looking forward to those too.

It's the famous one in SS15, Ooi Noodle House. Evevn if you go early in the morning you still have to wait at least half an hour for yours, cos he does each one individually. But damned worth it, best pork noodles around. Mine pictured here has additional meat in it. RM33 for 2 bowls.

This is one thing I really love about Singapore. I went for two business trips this year and didn’t change much cash currency. Went to cafes, hawker centers, KFC, convenience stores and food courts and just paid with Grab Pay, Credit card or QR pay (Alipay via TNG). I’m even considering getting a Samsung cos Samsungpay is also widely available alongside Applepay.
Though to be fair, the fact that everything costs so much more took some joy out of it.
