I took a class a few years back that discussed how superhero comics emerged in the 1930s and 40's because the economy was shit and the general public felt powerless so superhero fantasy became go to for escapism- then it receded in popularity for more realistic stories in television/filmand became a primarily comics medium.

I'm waiting with bated breath for the public consciousness to get to that point because I am exhausted with this copy paste copaganda.

Counterpoint: they didn't update the enemy designs to look like modern Mario. The enemies in the game look just as bizarre as the original smrpg. Imo that's a fair compromise.

Last week I went to the hospital for ear pain/headache and the doc injected me with fucking "haldol" an anti-psychotic for schizophrenics that causes literal terror and paranoia.

It was a catholic hospital and part of me wonders if it's because I'm trans. It happened to me before.

I had an ear infection BTW.

Dwarf Fortress is the only state approved game.
