I've used privacy for a while now. I became devoted when a card I used at an independant business started being used to pay phone bills in new jersey; privacy auto blocked it. Since then, i've used it to kill subscriptions I don't want by changing to a privacy card and setting the limit to zero. Its good stuff.
Hexbear is known for trolling, regardless of their political stance, unless there is a material analysis that pig poop balls advances the cause somehow.
At its best, twitter was group texting, but in public. its evolved into a semi-broadcast form with the expectation that many will read and few will engage, and in both twitter and mastodon the tooling is built for that.
within that, you follow people because they produce content you want, or because you intend to interact. Hashtags are there for topics you are intersted in so you can consume in a more ad-hoc way
haskell is one of the mathematically founded functional languages, which is a whole family of loosely related languages that have seen lower uptake over the years. Other examples include ML and variants, and F#.
There are a few reasons why adoption has been slow:
- poor outreach by language founders
- less focus on commercial use
- novel syntax
- core abstractions that differ from mainstream
Many of these are seeing some change. Haskell is getting better at outreach and comercial focus, and Rescript (ml for the web) has a lot of syntactical similarity to ja|ascript.
Idk your fancy oversized hexbear emotes, but please imagine I have selected a few choice ones to signal my agreement
we fight with tools, and sometimes those tools were built by the state.
Yeah, thats fair. The biggest thought trap I see people going in to is "the enemy of my enemy". As I see it, capital impiaralism must be dismantled, and countered, but state capitalism with socialist characteristics doesn't look like an ultimately fruitful path for enhanced liberty, so I think its important to be critical but not dismissive. I haven't found that to be a minority stance amongst anarchsts. Ultimately, the idea of "foriegn policy" itself is statist and true solidarity means standing up for everyone regardless of who the oppressor is.
Coming from the all, chapo and dunk tank form my main experiance of hexbear. Happy far the invite, I'll subscribe
So far, nobody has.
What I meant is that Elon has set a fairly un-achievable standard, as the sheet metal parts he is talking about will grow and shrink by more than that depending on weather. Additionaly, the small parts can be machined to that tolerance, but only by a skilled machinist and not at assembly line levels.
I have knobs on my stove and you are right, its better
Thats not what he is being prossecuted for. He is being prosecuted for publishing secrets given to him by someone else, an activity that American journalists have engaged in forever and part of standard journalism.
Its also concerning because Assange is not a US citizen and was not in the US at the time he published. So he is being prosecuted for sonething which may not be a crime, which was done in a place the US has no jurisdiction, by a foreign citizen.
For those curious, this is a fireproofing wrap intended to help save the structure in the event of a forest fire.
