In sports, being a team player would mean something like you don't play football as if its all a one man show. But at work isn't this kind of independence a desirable thing? Like salespeople who have to carry their own weight at all times? At this point, looking at all these job ads is giving me the impression that what it really means is "submissive and obedient".

So I love reading personal blogs. I have been enjoying Substacks and blogs I found but lately I am longing for more diversity. Almost all the blogs I can find are from the West.

Can any of you recommend me any good personal blogs written by South East Asians (especially Malaysians) or other Asians? I seem to find that Malaysians like to blog about three things: Food, politics and money 😂 I prefer not to read those, tho food doesn't hurt I suppose but will get a bit tired after a while

I prefer genuinely personal blogs that are slice of life stuff. If you know of any please recommend to me! 🙏

I first came across the book in 2017, bought it and was immediately hooked by the story.

Years passed, and when they announced the casts for the series, I was skeptical (I'm not a big movie/TV person) as I knew nothing about Michael Sheen and David Tennant.

Decided to give it a try, and boy, it's so good. Everyone is so perfectly casted.

My mum left the car door open and walked away, she came back to my dog sitting at the front seat. Attempts to get her out proved futile.

Random news but saja sharing, because apparently those opposing it been calling the scheme their 1MDB. So uh, terima kasih bossku. Eg: Filipinos slam Marcos’ sovereign fund idea amid fears it could end up like Malaysia’s 1MDB

直播带货in Mandarin. I mean it's just an online and sometimes indie version of CJ Wowshop💀 right? What kind of people want to watch it and actually loving it?

Found this cutie crawling on a rock at St Pisang yesterday. Decided to pick him up for some photos, which ended up drawing a crowd and some curious (and scared) stares.

“From personal experience, we realised that many shoe brands were stylish, but they weren’t very comfortable for long-term wear, whilst the shoes that are comfortable didn’t have great designs,” they explained.

However, the public’s fashion preferences changed post-pandemic. Instead of heels, they noticed that Malaysians were looking for chic shoes that didn’t sacrifice ease and comfort.

Welcome to our virtual third place, The Café.

Come on in and make a new human connection over a cup of coffee (or Teh Tarik). This is a casual community, do whatever you want, share your oyen pics, your frustrations, and even organize a weekend picnic with the community. The world is your oyster.

Rules are simple, be kind and civil with each other. As with any other café, rude patrons will be kicked out.
