I thought the move to lemmy was like a linux/server thing (I am not mainframe literate). I read the message saying "you are not logged in, sign up with a Fediverse account" and thought it was a bit about how the feds lurk this site.

I somehow avoided all this lemmy talk up until seven days ago.

I'm curious what kind of fed presence this place really has. We know we're on the radar, at the very least. Has anyone had anyon DMing them about doing Very Cool activities?

I got one of those during the first year of the site being up. got contacted on matrix by someone who wouldn't tell me what their username on the site was and wanted details on the work I was doing. I told them to pound sand and changed accounts on hexbear.
