The winner of the show was promised the chance to perform with a Grammy-winning artist, but Love viewed the exposure of being on an HBO series as the real prize.

Then you got it, what's the issue?

But honestly, people should be compensated for their time auditioning for these things. It is a broader issue affecting all actors in the industry.
