Jesus fucking christ. Every time porn comes up you get like this. Go outside, touch some fucking grass, talk to a person of your sexual preference who isn't on a screen, debasing themselves for money so you can jerk off. It doesn't make people Christian fundamentalists when they point out that spending 12 hours a day gooning is unhealthy for you. Get some actual hobbies for fuck's sake. I'm probably being a bit too harsh, but when I recognise a username from every discussion about porn, and they always say stuff like this, or imply that anyone who thinks porn is bad is just a puritanical christian fundamentalist, it isn't good. It's like some people just can't handle the idea of their treats being potentially problematic, especially when it comes to porn.

i don't really care but why are you shouting at this user when, from the quick search i did of their profile/posts, they aren't exactly posting about gooning or even 'christian fundamentalism' 24/7 lol
It's not all the time, but every time there is a discussion about porn, or porn adjacent topics, their opinion has rubbed me the wrong way, I honestly don't know why I was being especially harsh here. I guess I just find it annoying when I see something I've interpreted as "reddit gooner brain" where porn is this special thing above criticism or analysis and is actually great and good. And they've tried to dismiss arguments people are making in the past by claiming they are acting like "christian fundamentalists" or making claims like "all studies showing porn is bad are just funded by christian groups." Just very much shutting down discussion and not willing to hear out people who do have legitimate problems with a very problematic industry. Which is why I came in so aggressively I guess. I'm not going to pretend I was making a strong point here, I was just venting about frustrations I didn't even know I had towards this user.
