He's talking to this other chuddy coworker and they're talking about the American flag for some reason and all of a sudden he's just like "how many stars and how many stripes do you think you could take off of there before anybody starts to notice" and like oh my god holy shit it just killed me

i bet you could take out the outermost ring of stars and expand the rest to fill the space and few people would notice there's only 32 of them. probably 4 stripes, at most. that's a little trickier because i think people will notice parity reversal easily, so the red lines need to still be where you expect, so you need to remove them in pairs. like this:
