Link titles: Please use informative link titles. Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed.

If you are citing a Twitter post as news, please include the Xcancel.com (or another Nitter instance) or at least strip out identifier information from the twitter link. There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance, such as Libredirect or archive them as you would any other reactionary source.

Archive sites: We highly encourage use of non-paywalled archive sites (i.e. archive.is, web.archive.org, ghostarchive.org) so that links are widely accessible to the community and so that reactionary sources don’t derive data/ad revenue from Hexbear users. If you see a link without an archive link, please archive it yourself and add it to the thread, ask the OP to fix it, or report to mods. Including text of articles in threads is welcome.

We encourage the community to balance their contribution of low effort material with effort posts, links to real news/analysis, and meaningful engagement with material posted in the community.

Somehow I feel like a group of American Patriots burning down a church in the US wouldn't be seen the same way on reddit.
A few churches were torched around Canada in 2021, after a mass grave of indigenous children (containing the remains of over 250 children) was found underneath a residential school run by the Canadian government in the mid-1900’s. Following the news, conservatives were quick to identify themselves as the number one victims of hate in Canada today
Didn't the Catholic church run a lot of those schools?
Protestants and Catholics are all under the Christian umbrella, if it means Protestants can come up with excuses to whine about stuff.

everybody i talked to was not condoning the arson but there was a pervasive "yeah i get it", i think because the idea of priests doing priest things has been in the zeitgeist for a couple decades following the boston shit.
