This auto industry cope is basically also bullshit. Cars generally have gotten larger and more dangerous for anyone not in a car, or even not in a new car.
well this thing is more dangerous for anyone in the car and for anyone not in the car
yea that's a different issue. but take the increase in pedestrian deaths and the decrease in auto deaths and it's definitely still a net positive.
