I sometimes wonder how the hell did the red army stay as restrained as it did as they crossed German soil when I read this shit that's indistinguishable from fascist rhetoric.
The political officers? A dude who shoots you for looting helps prevent worse.
Politically educating the soldiers on why it's bad to genocide people like nazis, then pop your ass if you cross the line, yes.
