For the love of fuck why aren't all jobs 'easy apply?'

If anyone has job-hunting advice, I'm all ears.
I'm trying to avoid more retail work, for starters, and I'm almost done with my degree.
Anecdotal, but last time I was job hunting I had a significantly higher call back rate when applying through the companys listing for the job on their website instead of places like indeed or LinkedIn. Idk if it's true but I read that job boards will scrape listings from each other/company websites and make an easy apply that goes nowhere to create the illusion that more places use their service. So you could easy apply to 10 jobs and maybe actually only apply to like 6 real ones.
That said I ended up getting a job from a staffing company that cold called me about a job I'd applied for and then got ghosted by the interviewer for previously.
Yeah, noted, I'll definitely keep that in mind.
You don't need a job directly related to your certification of debt and mental torture. How is your interests and skill set related? Do you think you have the ability to do it? Apply and see what happens.
Are... you sure?
Huh. To be honest, I feel like you'd have to get to know the person hiring before you can even attempt that, but I'll take your word for it and see what happens then...
You basically need to get a referral or a foot in the door to stand a chance in the modern job market. Interviewing well is also important, I interview like trash so I can't give advice here.
I interview well so I won't worry about that for now.
But yeah, having a "foot in the door," as you say, is a must, or at least a damn good advantage.
