Fun fact: Tao Huabi (the creator of the chili oil) is a member of the Communist Party of China and is also a National People's Congress deputy. The chili oil business was only possible because the CPC village committee where Tao lived (and was not a party member at the time) allowed her to borrow two buildings to start production.
