I honestly agree, Hexbears like way too much mediocre art just because there was some left wing rhetoric thrown in
Avatar 2 was trash and I knew JPEGMAFIA was never serious about being left wing and just using communism as an edgy and counter culture aesthetic (the lyrics clearly reeked of somebody that never challenged or developed their ideology) since communist slowjams. Didn't need to wait until the Kanye Nazi band T-shirt photo to realize that
It's like people forget that capitalism will try to commoditise everything, including leftist ideas. If they can profit off of superficially leftist ideas, they will pander as much as they can for that sweet, sweet profit.
