I can certainly appreciate spending quality time with someone that isn't predicated on spending a bunch of money, but I hate the infantilizing language here.

Yeah, but i guess "hanging out with your buddies and crashing at their place because it's too late/far to go back home" doesn't have the same clickbaity appeal.
