All they did was own a few slaves, and they treated them like family, so really, did they even count as slaves?

Saw one recently who said "my family had to flee to Taiwan and arrived with nothing but the gold ingots sewn into their clothes!"

She then proceeded to block everyone asking her how her family got their hands on gold ingots in the first place.
