Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --
-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --
-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --
-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--
-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--
-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --
-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --
Would Trump even be worse for Gaza at this point? Like the Republicans are way worse domestically but the Democrats might actually be worse for foreign policy
I've been trying to tell people this for a while. Trump's incompetence makes better foreign policy results. He wasn't even able to start a war. When was the last president that didn't start a war?
Certainly seems like he tried when he killed Soleimani. I thought for sure we were getting in a war then.
Also Venezuela coup attempt. He sucks at the job AND tries to make friends with traditional enemies like North Korea and Russia. Less enemies is a good thing.... He's like the coworker that keeps getting promoted despite being horrible at his jobs.
Ya it's weird because he seemed to have a hard-on for Russia, switch between being friendly with North Korea and threatening them with "fire and fury", and being a complete hawk against China and Iran. That's what happens when you have greed and racism instead of a coherent ideology though I suppose.
Yet he got promoted to the ultimate job. At least it defeats the idea that America is a meritocracy lol.
Trump legitimized the occupation of the Golan Heights, moved our embassy to Jerusalem, and assassinated Suleimani. I don't think he'd be doing anything appreciably different right now.
Biden is lying to Congress so that he can keep sending weapons to Israel, which will almost certainly be used to kill civilians. Materially, there's little difference.
For the record, I don't support Trump at all. It's just a little stunning to see how far right the Democrats have gone in the last 20 years or so.
Hell, the last 7 or so
Many of the anti wall people are now aggressively for it, they defend literal genocide because 'conservatives would be worse', their candidate has come out as very pro gun...
It would be more funny if it wasn't so pathetic.
It's an appreciable difference for the liberals to be against it instead of for it
He's specifically promised Sheldon Adelson's widow that he'll help Israel annex the West Bank so...
