3-4 more hurricanes gonna hit back to back. Giant toxic chemical clouds in Georgia. A protracted labor battle at the ports.

I can only find info on hurricane ivan, and that’s not supposed to hit the us. What are the other ones?

Jesus Christ there's a giant centipede in the middle of the Atlantic no wonder folks are freaking out

The size of the centipede is distorted by Mercator projection, it’s not that big, don’t worry.

You fool! It's at the equator! The size is undisturbed! We're doooooooooooomed!!!!!!

[-] Lurker123@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

Sorry I couldn’t quite hear that over the sound of my rocket engine as I head to a new planet. But as I was saying, nothing to fear from the centipede.

It eats the other sea leviathans, so it's good to let it skitter around untroubled.

[-] REgon@hexbear.net 11 points 1 month ago

And yet the government insists on sending more money to Israel, instead of doing the sensible thing with the money: Building giant mechs to fight the centipede in the Atlantic before it reaches the coast

[-] Wakmrow@hexbear.net 7 points 1 month ago

If only Trump were still in office he would nuke it before it gets to us

Ommunism is when there's a comically large spoon to eat all the grain and capitalism is when there's a JFC-sized centipede.

I actually think this is the one I was referencing in my comment lol, idk where I got the name Ivan from. It'll definitely affect the eastern seaboard, and could cause some bad flooding on the coast, but I don't think it's supposed to actually make landfall in the us

[-] Chronicon@hexbear.net 2 points 1 month ago

right but it shows several other storms brewing if you scroll down

although I think one has dissipated since I first looked, in the gulf

Best resource outside of local (weather) news would be https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/?atlc. I relied on them, Tropical Tidbits, and checking local when a local hit was likely when I lived in Florida.

Looks like I see 3 cells, 1 named, 1 likely, 1 possible.
