Welcome to c/news! Please read the Hexbear Code of Conduct and remember... we're all comrades here.
Rules:
-- PLEASE KEEP POST TITLES INFORMATIVE --
-- Overly editorialized titles, particularly if they link to opinion pieces, may get your post removed. --
-- All posts must include a link to their source. Screenshots are fine IF you include the link in the post body. --
-- If you are citing a twitter post as news please include not just the twitter.com in your links but also nitter.net (or another Nitter instance). There is also a Firefox extension that can redirect Twitter links to a Nitter instance: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/libredirect/ or archive them as you would any other reactionary source using e.g. https://archive.today . Twitter screenshots still need to be sourced or they will be removed --
-- Mass tagging comm moderators across multiple posts like a broken markov chain bot will result in a comm ban--
-- Repeated consecutive posting of reactionary sources, fake news, misleading / outdated news, false alarms over ghoul deaths, and/or shitposts will result in a comm ban.--
-- Neglecting to use content warnings or NSFW when dealing with disturbing content will be removed until in compliance. Users who are consecutively reported due to failing to use content warnings or NSFW tags when commenting on or posting disturbing content will result in the user being banned. --
-- Using April 1st as an excuse to post fake headlines, like the resurrection of Kissinger while he is still fortunately dead, will result in the poster being thrown in the gamer gulag and be sentenced to play and beat trashy mobile games like 'Raid: Shadow Legends' in order to be rehabilitated back into general society. --

This is some of the funniest shit I have ever seen. Like this is going to infect my thoughts possibly for the rest of my life
It's always wild when something happenens that goes above the usual level of trumpian bullshit.
Yea they're eating the cats and the dems can control hurricanes to strike republican enclaves but then also the people who show up to help you clean up are also globalist actors.
Yea whatever yawn....
But saying "enough questions, nobody wants to listen to questions let's just play some music instead" and slowly swaying for 40 minutes during a NATIONALLY TELEVISED TOWN HALL while demanding different version of the same song be played three times in a row at increasing volumes.
It's a beautiful level of absurdity that not even the best satirists could come close to.
Andy Kaufman eat your fucking heart out.
Then you have the prestige of the whole spectacle. The dems, the serious hard nosed adults in the room who have spent a lifetime learning to navigate the halls of power ARE IN A DEAD FUCKING HEAT WITH HIM.
Trump also has this going for him: He's willing to admit shit's fucked. He's wrong about what's fucked and why it's fucked, but he's fine saying shit's fucked. He got in on a platform of "America Is Shit Now, We Used To Be Something, Make It Great Again" which is stupid for a myriad of reasons, but the base level of "things here suck" is nice to hear from a candidate. Compare it to Hillary going "we're already great, everything is fine, now It's My Turn at the wheel of empire, vote for your girlboss" then it's clear why he resonated so well.
Now we've got means tester Kamala who is willing to hemm and haw a bit, but it's still in a buttoned up PR-speech way.
look at the stock market everything is great now let me do a coup in Venezuela
The first vid wasn't on Youtube and it something I couldn't find on the Youtube vid. There was a song that started with a lot of sound effects. And Trump is standing there steely-eyed and proud. His hogs were surely confused. I was confused too. What the hell. Then a piano comes in and the drums and a synthesized flute. I still couldn't remember what the song was. Finally there's a pinched vocal coming from the diaphragm I finally realize it's November Rain by Guns N' Roses.
The former probably
I remember him getting in trouble over rights use with Springsteen and the Rolling Stones, probably others. Neil Young? That feels like one of those things that keeps happening and goes nowhere because nobody really gives a shit besides the artists trying to sue
You're right it's unintentionally fucking hilarious. The perfect parody of the USA!
