It still solves one end of the problem. The cable problem probably needs enforcement from law side.

It's eastern Poland tilting the scales to the far-right, despite all the nationalistic talk they are still pretty russified.

Like all dating apps they have a strong incentive to promote superficial short-term connections over long term relationships so they have repeated customers. The worst thing that can happen to a dating app is their users finding a long term partner.

When Ubuntu used Unity. I think there 3rd party GNOME applets for it but never anything official from the GNOME team.

I think this classifies as an Eurasian spinoff. Now with possibility for a relaxing drive through thousands of kilometres of nothingness before the trip ends up in fireworks.

Isn't this dude a Senator? He can help end the stupid tariff war any time he wants. If he can grow a spine and bring 4 friends with him he can at least put pressure on his pals on the house of representatives.

And analytics. And offloading as much computation to the client, because servers are expensive and inefficiency is not an issue if your users are the ones paying for it.

An additional executive order meant to "protect the United States from foreign terrorists and other national security and public threats" is undeniably meant to apply to pro-Palestinian protesters across America, particularly on college campuses.

She's generally good at managing her public persona, except when it comes to her ~~pollute more than a small city machine~~ private jet addiction. When people show you who they really are, believe them.

Since then, Yvette’s pulled the same “trick” four times, although she insists she doesn’t see herself as a shoplifter and is “a goody goody” by nature: “I earn a reasonable amount in my senior position, drive an SUV, and live in a desirable postcode. Before my divorce, our girls attended private school.”

This kind of ÜberKarens are the reason we can't get nice stuff. Actions of people like her will be used to crack down on people that literally can't afford basic needs and to reduce the privacy of everyone else, while making the service shittier at the same time.

And she has the gall of calling her self a "goody goody". Bullshit, no one so self entitled is a nice person.

Ironically, despite Apple's whining to get to this point, between this, and the EU forcing them to adopt USB-C, and, hopefully 3rd party stores and browsers, I may consider an iPhone for my next phone.

It's a pity you almost need to point a gun to their head for them to consider unshittifing their products.

When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.

Good on your sister for not losing track of what makes her happy. Not doing things just because they are "childish" is the most childish trait an adult can display.

A new study published in the journal Astronomy & Astrophysics suggests the satellites are emitting "unintended" radiation from the electronics onboard the satellites.

These low-frequency radio waves, are being picked up by telescopes designed to scan that frequency range. That's because this range also happens to be instrumental to deep space observations.

New evidence strongly suggests that OceanGate's submersible, which imploded and killed all passengers on its way to the Titanic wreck, was unfit for the journey. The CEO, Stockton Rush, bought discounted carbon fiber past its shelf life from Boeing, which experts say is a terrible choice for a deep-sea vessel. This likely played a role in the submersible's tragic demise.

An Indiana Jones game, previously announced by Bethesda subsidiary MachineGames, was planned for multiple platforms – but the contract with Disney was amended following Microsoft’s buyout of the publisher. Confirmation comes as part of the Federal Trade Commission’s ongoing court case regarding the Redmond firm’s proposed $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
