France has extremely powerful copyright trolls, restrictive laws, and a culture of oppression by bureaucrats. There's even a tax on storage mediums that goes to the MAFIAA. what.cd got nuked, RealDebrid got threatened hard enough that they gave in. I wouldn't spend any money on anything illegal hosted in France.

OP has no ambition, you can buy rolling stock for scrap value quite easily. If you have an insane amount of labour at your disposal you can do most things for a small heritage railroad by hand. The know-how is not secret arcane knowledge. The main issue is that most countries don't have that many enthusiasts willing to fund those projects. Road subsidies are insanely high but hurr-durr trains are expensive.

It isn't a security feature, more like a backdoor checkbox.

Cops. If you're an acorn they shoot you, imagine what they think of car thieves.

I don't find these journals' processes commendable.

Crazy thing is, walking 20 miles a day isn't burning that many calories. By the end of the day, if it is flat ground and you're used to it, 20 miles isn't even enough to be sore or tired…

You don't need to shave, using the antiseptic they cover you in before surgery is enough in my experience, and won't cause itching and cuts like shaving does.

People don't know how to use dishwashers. What's the point of using a dishwasher if you're going to clean the dishes beforehand…

Perfectly valid reason to make an account.

Complaining about X.org on Usenet also was the excuse for many people to post.

Some traditions must be kept alive.

Why do you think they do not apply?

Some reasons why I think they apply:

  • fish are animals
  • industrial fishing is destroying the oceans and sea life (way more is killed than what ends up sold and eventually maybe eaten)
  • international waters are a lawless playground for every abuse imaginable

I eat fish so I am not playing the guilt game, they're just the ethical considerations I can think of.

How do you guys have the patience to read these diatribes written by illiterate buffoons? (This one at least is legible)
