Yeah this is one of thier better ones
It annoys me when that happens. Someone does lots of math or data for a game and it links to my damn gmail account. I setup a new browser profile for gaming/stupidshit just because I often forget to open in a private window.
Often when you view a Google doc it'll auto sign you into it with whatever account you have active.
Either that or it'll ask you to sign in and you'll reveal your name and email.
Really bad way to share info online en mass.
I second this. Affordable, available and safe for internal use.
Also good for the skin and hair.
It becomes a problem sometimes when I have an argument and then let it go. But the other party is still mad at me and bad at communication. I try to talk it out and it doesn't work or they just take longer to be not mad.
I'm forgiving.
That seems odd but I don't hold grudges. Life is too short for that.
I could get pissed off by a coworker or family and just let it go within a week. Usually talking it out with the person in question or someone else.
Often I address it directly or discuss with a related party. Is it just me? Am I overreacting?
In any case I feel like it's uncommon since I often see people really dislike others and that's just drama I don't want to deal with personally.
The only issue I've recieved is some people dislike my direct nature. I don't like games or office politics. I call shit out at work and home. Very logical approach. If someone doesn't know something they can't address it.
Whenever I get a new manager / superior I let them know up front. That said I also know when to keep my mouth shut to avoid problems. Usually I take down a note and converse with my boss about it if it's above my pay grade.
And she only did it to counter a bold face lie he said about herself.
Not 10 minutes before she stated that she did not ban fracking, will not ban fracking and made the tie breaking vote in favor of fracking.
But he still says "shes going to ban fracking if elected" like dude WTH. Are you paying attention?
- Ensuring accountability for companies that provide bad service. People shopping for products or services should be able to rely on customer reviews to assess which companies will provide streamlined service and not waste their time. The FTC has proposed a rule that, if finalized as proposed, would stop marketers from using illicit review and endorsement practices such as using fake reviews, suppressing honest negative reviews, and paying for positive reviews, which deceive consumers looking for real feedback on a product or service and undercut honest businesses.
Wait. No more fake reviews? No more supressing honest negative reviews?
I'll believe it when I see it. Let's see how Amazon/Google/Yelp handle this.
Let the lobbying commence!
Y'all laugh but I'm getting into Linux and dusted off an old i7 laptop with 16gb of RAM. Slapped a $40 512GB ssd and linux mint on it to get into !selfhost@lemmy.ml!
...then promptly forgot about the laptop
That kind of shit should really be illegal
Yeah I miss DVD bonuses like directors commentary, cut scenes, bloopers and alternate scenes.
