I thought I was weird after seeing that black stand-up on kill Tony saying he had some of his favorites in his pocket. My step mom and I went hiking and she found two really cool rocks, one was gray and has streaks of purple, the other one was dark but with orange streaks. They live on my dashboard.

There's an area in the cascade range (western US, specifically oregon) that is a giant field of knapped obsidian, that was used as a training ground for young knappers, as well as a trading ground to trade knapped obsidian that has been found all over the western US. Sea otters exhibit this behavior. They keep their favorite rock in their pouches and use them to crack open shellfish.

It's believed that connections to objects as favorites is a more recent human evolution. Tribes would have spears and tools but people would just take one.
