Lately…eat out of boredom. I’ve been trying to curb it, but not succeeding. I’ve got 8 days off starting tomorrow. Not looking good for my waistline. 😔

Games. Board or video.

Usually with an old TV series in the background.

And Kitty time. Can't forget them!

I never feel bored. The closest, I guess, is feeling lost and not motivated for anything or stressed and jumpy between things.

In those cases or more when I don't "have anything to do" in general, I open Lemmy, or YouTube, or watch anime or some series, read manga, or watch documentaries. Depending on motivation and mood I open games or do open source or personal project work. Sometimes open specific news or test websites, or my RSS feed accumulator. Or do whatever else is open to do.

Being bored is not a bad thing. If by being bored you mean 'not doing something' and not being 'busy' because then it means one can start thinking by oneself. Something that seems to be severely lacking in our so modern and so constantly busy societies.

If you want to know what are my usual activities, beside welcoming boredom, I would say: read, write, paint, go out for a walk (that's amazing too, for the body as well as the mind), spend time with my spouse, making stuff with my hands.

Usually either put on a record, take the dog for a walk, or diddle the skittle

I read an obscene amount of science fiction and play a lot of classic wow.

Customize Android root stuff, watch anime, play videogames, that has been my life as of lately.

Play music, read a book, draw something, play a game, or watch a movie.

Read, watch TV/movies/YouTube, play video games, take the dog for a walk, work on one of my many hobbies that I've been neglecting, see if any of my friends wants to do something, take a nap, listen to music,

And if I get really bored, there's probably something I'm supposed to be cleaning or some other chore that needs attention

Can’t say that happens frequently enough for me to have a set thing to do.

The list of things that need to get done never seems to get shorter. So I’m usually working though my todo list. Recreation time has to be scheduled sadly.

Put things into other things. Take things out of other things. Push stuff. Sleep. Look at stuff.

I'm doing one right now, and you're reading it. Other times I write scenarios for my D&D campaign, do 3d printing, and wiring/coding for IoT devices. Also making cookies. Also eating the cookies.

Watch a movie, listen to music while browsing lemmy, or take a nap. If there’s something that needs to be done like repairs or chore, I do that too.

Take a walk/with a fur baby, play with/pet a fur baby, clean (always something), nap, video, read, scroll, meditate/pray, talk to a neighbor.

Play the guitar or harmonica, design a boardgame or a ttrpg, play videogames, check lemmy/youtube/nebula, be in my head. But I'm seldom bored, more like "if I have free time for some minutes".

I wish that I had the luxury to be bored.

Embrace the boredom, that's where the best ideas come from.

Sometimes I lie down and listen to music or a long video, sometimes I play with my dog, sometimes I just rest, or play some games from my backlog.

I don’t have a lot of time for the boredom I so desperately deserve, but in my rare instances of free time I often think of immanetizing the Eschaton.
