There were two “Reigns of Terror,” if we would but remember it and consider it; the one wrought murder in hot passion, the other in heartless cold blood; the one lasted mere months, the other had lasted a thousand years; the one inflicted death upon ten thousand persons, the other upon a hundred millions; but our shudders are all for the “horrors” of the minor Terror, the momentary Terror, so to speak; whereas, what is the horror of swift death by the axe, compared with lifelong death from hunger, cold, insult, cruelty, and heart-break? What is swift death by lightning compared with death by slow fire at the stake? A city cemetery could contain the coffins filled by that brief Terror which we have all been so diligently taught to shiver at and mourn over; but all France could hardly contain the coffins filled by that older and real Terror—that unspeakably bitter and awful Terror which none of us has been taught to see in its vastness or pity as it deserves.

If you have evidence of Israeli crimes and atrocities that you wish to preserve, there is a thread here in which to do so.

Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:

English-language Palestinian Marxist-Leninist twitter account.
English-language twitter account that collates news (and has automated posting when the person running it goes to sleep).
Arab-language twitter account with videos and images of fighting.
English-language (with some Arab retweets) Twitter account based in Lebanon.
English-language Palestinian Twitter account which reports on news from the Resistance Axis.

English-language PalestineResist telegram channel.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.

The Country of the Week is Palestine! Feel free to chime in with books, essays, longform articles, even stories and anecdotes or rants. More detail here.

Here is the map of the Ukraine conflict, courtesy of Wikipedia.

Examples of Ukrainian Nazis and fascists

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Resources For Understanding The War

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.

Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don't want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it's just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists' side.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster's telegram channel.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.

https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a 'propaganda tax', if you don't believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

Almost every Western media outlet.

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

Last week's discussion post.

Ed Markey was strongly booed by Boston crowd for calling for deescalation.

15 mins later, [Jake Auchincloss] seemed to respond directly:

"Deescalation is not possible when they are taking hostages. Israel did not ask America to deescalate on September 12, 2001. We stand w/ Israel.

Man, some corners of the web are continuing to run with "The reason why Mossad didn't see the attack coming was because the Palestinians were using Huawei smartphones." Here's some Taiwanese news channel discussing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXxMAM90tVY&t=38s

The key factor depends on what? Huawei

Are you serious?!

Two words: Hua wei

Ethan Klein on Israel-Palestine live right now.

Edit: THE FOLLOWING ARE ALL ETHAN AND HILA'S WORDS.

He's currently complaining about "lefties" saying "I stand with Palestine" after the Hamas "terrorist attack". Even before "Israel hasn't done anything, just counting dead bodies."

He also said "unprovoked" but cut that out.

He and Hila talking about how hard it is to explain to people what "people went through" how people lost their entire families etc. That's "barbaric" and "disgusting." This is people's "hate for Israel" leading them to support "Hamas terrorism".

And that these people they killed weren't even "settlers" because they left in 2005. "There's no settlements around Gaza."

He compares it to trying to support Iraqi terrorists after we [America] killed a million of them and that you wouldn't do that. You wouldn't support a 1000 Iraqis invading LA.

"I stand with Palestine too" but you wouldn't say something like that after 9/11.

They say "this is their only recourse" and that "this is self-defence" but this not that. They went to a block and murdered kids, desecrated bodies, burnt people alive. You can "stand with Iraq [Palestine] and also condemn Hamas which people don't wanna do."

And Hamas is not "freedom fighters". They terrorize Palestinians under their rule.

WHEN A COMMENTATOR BRINGS UP ISRAEL DOING THE SAME, Ethan says he's not denying that AND HILA SAYS "I AM DENYING THAT."

Ethan continues you still won't be in favor of an Iraqi terrorist cell coming and killing everyone in your neighborhood. America killed a million Iraqis, a lot more than Israel has killed Palestine, so okay you go and volunteer for an Iraqi terrorist to slaughter you and your mom.

He agrees Gaza is an open air prison and then says that chatter should sacrifice his family to Iraqi terrorists if he cares about freedom so much.

He's nauseated by the callousness and support for violent terrorists online. When someone says "Ethan please learn more", Hila says he lived there for five years and married an Israeli. He knows more than some American. And Ethan repeats that the commenter should let Iraqi terrorist murder his family.

Let's say a group of Native Americans terrorists leave the reservation and burning people, killing kids etc, would you say "I support Native Americans" at that moment? That they should be allowed to kill and rape everyone who was born in America? Hila says "no, she would fight for her family and her home." Reminder, she was in the IDF.

Prominent lefties on Twitter are callous cowards are Ethan's main enemies right now.

Hila says these people don't understand what people grieving in Israel are feeling right now. None of them know what to expect or how long this war will last. And anyone saying "Free Palestine" right now is saying "I support Hamas."

700 people were murdered and lefties are going "Let's go Hamas!"

You don't need to murder 700 innocent people, including kids to protest occupation.

Cheering on Hamas right now isn't going to bring peace. What's going to happen to Gaza now is an invasion and it's going to be horrible for them.

I've seen people I like and follow do Hamas propaganda like Mia Khalifa saying "this is a renaissance painting to a pic of Hamas terrorists." Side note - She isn't a good, based progressive either.

After like an hour of criticizing lefties on Twitter, he says "there's equally psychotic takes on the right" before going back to trying to find "Lefties" supporting Hamas like Matt Lech "liking" a tweet about the girl taken by Hamas being given water.

Then he says "Hamas is going to now start murdering civilians one at a time on TV".

When someone says Israel is saying they will level Gaza he says "that's psychotic too" but then turns it back to how that doesn't mean you support should Hamas. "Israel is bad too" right now just means you support Hamas.

"I don't need to talk about Israel's horrible things, I've done that."

Now Netanyahu is going to gain support and do a full invasion and he blames people saying "I support Palestine" right after a terrorist attack as the reason for it.

If I'm not "woke" enough, then go surrender yourself to ISIS.

If he and Hasan disagree on anything, then that means Hasan is a Hamas supporter.

Had a realization yesterday that Israel is significantly more bloodthirsty of a nation than the United States is. It’s not even close. I think the average American can at least recognize mistakes of our history and foreign policy. Even if it isn’t driven by ethics or the call to end imperialism, there’s a decent chunk of the population who believe our exploits abroad is all about the money or resources. Conversations I’ve had with combat vets or current military almost always end with “we’re the bad guys”. I think even the average American can recognize there are a lot of bad cops who abuse their power. I know I’m scraping a the bottom of the barrel but in my experience I can have that conversation with 80% of people.

Outside of the left wing, the average Israeli doesn’t see anything wrong and wants to genocide every single Palestinian. It’s unbelievable how evil the entire nation is.

45 Palestinians killed in airstrike on house, Gaza ministry says | AP News

The Israeli military bombarded a residential building in the densely populated Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza on Thursday, killing at least 45 people and injuring dozens more, Gaza's interior ministry said.

A late-afternoon airstrike hit the al-Shihab family house at the center of the Jabaliya camp, interior ministry spokesperson Eyad Bozum told The Associated Press. The al-Shihab house was packed with dozens of relatives at the time of the airstrike, Bozum said. Some family members had fled heavy bombing from other parts of the Gaza Strip and taken refuge there

Bozum said the death toll was likely to rise from that airstrike as civil defense workers were still pulling bodies from the rubble and counting the dead.

Acting Commissioner Hudson said on Friday if the powers were used, police would be able to search attendees without reasonable cause and request identification, where failure to provide relevant documents would be deemed an offence.

He said he expected to know by Saturday whether there were enough grounds to authorise the powers, which are outlined in the Law Enforcement Act.

"Sunday's protest is being organised by the same group that organised the violent protest last Monday," he said.

"The admitted inability of the organisers of the event to control the membership of who might assemble on Sunday, the threat to public safety, and the extent of the violent behaviour we saw last Monday, we believe that we are able to meet this threshold."

The wider powers, which can be used to "lock the city down", were introduced after the 2005 Cronulla riots and have been used "intermittently" since, the acting commissioner said.

the 2005 cronulla race riots "were triggered by an event the previous Sunday, when an altercation turned physical between a group of youths of Middle-Eastern appearance (referred to as "Lebanese" or "Lebs" by their opponents) and White Australian lifeguards on the beach. Following the reporting of this event by the tabloid media and "shock jocks" on local radio, a racially motivated gathering was organised via chain texting for the following weekend."

Hmm yes we must crack down on muslims again :s

Western freedoms make sense once you apply a minor correction.

In the west, we have

The freedom of the oppressor’s speech

The freedom of the oppressor’s religion

The freedom of the oppressor’s press

The oppressor’s right to assemble

The oppressor’s right to a fair trial

The oppressor’s right to bear arms

The oppressor’s right to life, liberty, and happiness
