I'm half-joking—doubt any of the talents would want to join an organization after all that mess—but I would really like to see co-ops in the VTuber sphere. I'm also genuinely curious about how such an org would be structured, since there are two natural axes of inequality: differences in income/clout between streamers, and an imbalance of power/wealth between streamers and staff, both of which can be substantial. Would it be more suited to a dual-org system, where the staff forms a workers co-op and the streamers form a consumer co-op? I profess my ignorance about the nitty-gritty of cooperative operations, so if anyone has any insight I'd love to hear it.

My Bluetooth headset had been acting up on Linux. I thought it was random, but it turns out it actually only happens when there is Wi-Fi activity on the device (loading video, loading a web page, etc). I ruled out simple interference because my WiFi is 5 GHz while Bluetooth is 2.4 GHz. Running an internet speed test is kind of funny because it makes the audio connection cut out for the entire test period.

After some extensive Google searching, I found out that an earlier version of the kernel from 2024, 6.11.4, actually doesn't have this problem. 6.12.0 and onward is a regression that AFAIK has not been fixed in almost a year. I taught myself how to downgrade the kernel.

therapy goers, is there a therapist word (that I can google) for not having a coherent identity? as in, "be yourself," "I can't, that person straight up doesn't exist." it's not depersonalization, and I don't think it's dissociation. it just feels like a huge chunk of me is inexpressible and scrambled even to myself.

*if no word immediately comes to mind, there's no need to dig for one, I'm not using hexbear as an unpaid therapist
