The image generator will also make photorealistic pictures of children upon request, but thankfully refuses to animate them inappropriately, despite the “spicy” option still being available. You can still select it, but in all my tests, it just added generic movement.

Libertarians BTFO

I forget who but someone hypothesized that the entire AI boom was being pumped by libertarians who wanted to make a CP generating machine before the venture capitalist money ran out and it makes way too much sense.

Graphics cards. This is all just an overcapacity in graphics card manufacturing.

It started with crypto mining. It drove up demand and chip producers were happy to scale up production to meet the new market. Today, crypto isn't the growth market it was, so that capacity had to go somewhere. Lo and behold! What a coincidence, these LLMs could do with a whole lot of parallel calculations to speed up the training! So NVIDIA went from selling new cards to crypto startups, to selling new cards to OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google.

Yeah NVIDIA said they were an AI company way back in 2014

Ay bro wtf?!

Why would you try to test ai child porn out and then tell people?!

[-] purpleworm@hexbear.net 17 points 3 days ago

Whether it does that or not should be known and we can't count on its creators to tell us.

[-] Ishmael@hexbear.net 20 points 3 days ago

Yeah I found it disturbing to read that the author tried, but then I realized that if they didn't and subsequently reported that it worked, then it would just generate CSAM for pedos until eventually someone DID report it

[-] comrade_pibb@hexbear.net 21 points 3 days ago

bro it's just a test bro i swear bro

Anyone who likes the way an AI generated image of a person looks, has never seen a real human being

the whole thing makes my skin crawl, but ultimately its not heaps worse than magazines paying their graphic people to airbrush photographs

weird sex abuse freaks aside obviously

[-] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 8 points 3 days ago

Warning: Crude.

As people jerk off to something, their tolerance kind of fades away, things they would find repulsive or uncanny normally become more acceptable. And the more they do it, the more normalised it becomes to them.

[-] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 3 points 3 days ago

also the hornier you are usually the less discerning. so common it's a tired sitcom joke.

Musk just edits Grok's settings and everyone has to deal with the conset

[-] LeninWalksTheEarth@hexbear.net 32 points 3 days ago

Swift sues Twitter, they have to give her Twitter. One problem solved.

[-] Lerios@hexbear.net 20 points 3 days ago

it sucks that someone is being sexually harassed but hopefully grok finally pissing off someone with infinite money and infinite lawyers Starts Some Shit

is she rich and famous enough to influence laws on AI usage?

[-] Llituro@hexbear.net 35 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

nice try sweetie, but the AI industry has put together the money to pay the Heavenly Tribute so they don't have to follow laws anymore. maybe-later-kiddo

When can we start classifying AI as sex offenders?

[-] purpleworm@hexbear.net 21 points 3 days ago

I'd rather classify the person who owns and provides a platform for the AI as a sex offender, personally

[-] EatPotatoes@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago

Doesn’t mean anything if you’re rich.

Stay classy, westoids.

[-] SteamedHamberder@hexbear.net 30 points 3 days ago

[-] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 25 points 3 days ago

Like you can generate beautiful nude women with perchance and then animate them in whatever nsfw image to video service you choose. There's absolutely no reason to be doing deepfakes of real people unless your a turbo-incel.

[-] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 25 points 3 days ago

deep fakes is kinda extra because of the potential for victimizing the subject, but you used to be able to make a few bucks drawing that shit and bad photoshops have been around for 20+ years despite the sources for those photoshops being available. People want specific because of the (para)social attachment, this also drives fanart of tifa or whatever instead of generic awooga lady and fanfic rather than everybody just writing OCs.

[-] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 8 points 3 days ago

If they want to have big naked booba, rule 34 is right there. Better yet, use your desire to see big naked booba to learn to draw yourself.

[-] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 13 points 3 days ago

i literally mentioned fanart. i don't think even the gooniest gooner wants to edge so long they learn figure drawing in the process, that seems unreasonable.

[-] purpleworm@hexbear.net 9 points 3 days ago

I've definitely seem some artists who strongly give the impression that that is why they learned.

[-] Lerios@hexbear.net 7 points 3 days ago

im-doing-my-part (not to sexually harass famous women btw, but for furry reasons. idk if its a 'valid' motivation but it certainly works!)

[-] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 4 points 3 days ago

sure but they would've had some talent for it to begin with. joe nudeAI couldn't draw if he wanted to. (and that's fine, other than the environmental cost and any harassment)

[-] WhatDoYouMeanPodcast@hexbear.net 19 points 3 days ago

you're laughing. the AI immediately and without any request makes a deepfake nude and you're laughing. youre-laughing

It's so shitty it makes me laugh

[-] boiledfrog@hexbear.net 9 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I thought she was so hot she's heating up the planet with her private jet

Anyway I do kinda hope she starts throwing lawyers, shit is not OK anyhow.

[-] huf@hexbear.net 3 points 3 days ago
