Ugh WSWS is so fucking bad.

Shit like this just makes me extremely suspicious of what secrets this org is hiding.

Small/medium political sects (of any tendancy) have a pretty bad record to start with, and then someone feels the need to repeatedly defend people like this? Even in the best case it's extremely poor political judgment and disconnection from people's reality, and a bad signal of who will be attracted or repelled as members/supporters.

They unfortunately aren't the only offender, but they might be the most stubborn and vocal about it.

I think at minimum the writers identify more with the abusers than the abused

I'm honestly surprised at that one.

Piers Morgan being on the "no hit" list is the only surprising thing about this email.

I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:

I wanna know the difference between highlighted and not considering Bill Gates fucking hookers and trying to get antibiotics to slip to his wife and failing and having a falling out with Epstein over it is definitely "salacious information" to me

[-] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 6 points 1 week ago

Evidently the only evidence of that was an email Epstein wrote to himself, though. Not really interesting or relevant from a law enforcement standpoint.

Are you talking about the bill gates thing? I'm pretty sure that happened and wasn't just epstein making something up

[-] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 3 points 1 week ago

Yeah, I am too, but I'm assuming based on the email headers here that this is some sort of internal FBI discussion and that "salacious" is focusing on details that are relevant to legal proceedings (especially based on the note about the victim). An email Epstein sent himself isn't exactly actionable. I feel like dosing someone with medication without their knowledge and consent should be illegal but I'm not sure how they'd prosecute, especially if Melinda didn't want to pursue charges.
