"Middle Class" has always been a deliberately meaningless buzzword to separate the working class into "us" and "the poors." To encourage the "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" sort of mentality.
I presume 'middle class' typically refers to the petit-bourgeois, who certainly could sell their plasma if the economy is bad enough to get by. Doesn't make them working class, though.

Well, the article mentions $6.2 billion being shipped overseas, so they're making at least $1.5b, which is nothing to sniff at. But I imagine most of it is used domestically, and considering the massively inflated hospital prices here, they probably make at least as much as from the exports, so you probably get less than 1/3 of what it's value is, at the very least 2/3 if you assume they make nothing from US plasma (lol, lmao).

What a wonderful pair of opinions these are, it means you never need to consider anything beyond the status quo because the people opposed to the status quo are "impure" in one way or another and you can safely disregard anything the scary radicals stay and just stick to nice safe CNN(or your media of choice) approved opinions on things.

The practice of selling your blood isn't normal to any magnitude by the way. The USA is one of very few countries where being paid for your plasma isn't very illegal.
In most countries it's a volunteering only thing, for.. extremely obvious reasons.
