Because it's exactly like playing violent video games, if you kill someone in a game, you definitely want to and will kill someone in real life

We should also ban movies and really any media depicting ANYTHING illegal, because, again, if you see it on the screen or read it in a book, you are bound to commit those crimes yourself.

Only idiots can't see this connection.

What we asked for was "GP and Dentist availability", "control the spiralling cost of energy bills", "make public transport more efficient and more affordable" and "protect jobs from AI, corporate cost-cutting and far-right policies".

How are you doing with any of those? Oh? Are you conpletely ignoring all of that and just messing about with porn again?

[-] wewbull@feddit.uk 6 points 9 hours ago

I think it's that they think "This is an easy vote winner. Nobody will object to this".

Yes, I'll object. You're wasting your time and my money with this pointless paternalistic crap.

Given the genetic history of the upper classes this is priceless.

[-] __Lost__@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 1 day ago

Fake incest is gross, they only want the real deal

[-] echodot@feddit.uk 32 points 1 day ago

Glad they are focusing on the important stuff and not getting distracted by trivial wars in Europe or environmental collapse.

This is clearly a boiling the frog moment towards censoring sexual content completely. Forced ID collection on adult sites (such as Wikipedia) and VPNs, and now banning porn categories. Some people just can't spend a minute without telling others what they should masturbate to or how they should have sex. My guess is that this is the collective action of Christo-fascists hysterically trying to purge the sinful acts of the world

Labour decided they are too popular so are driving people to the greens

What are you doing, step peer?

Help me, man or boy with whom I share one parent. It's me, your female equivalent who's stuck

[-] Hoimo@ani.social 7 points 13 hours ago

It's step, not half-siblings. The man in question is only related through civil contracts between your parent and his parent and, keeping with the lore of the step video, those civil contracts were only created after both of you reached the legal age of consent. The taboo is merely in the legal ambiguity of the situation.

[-] jtrek@startrek.website 15 points 1 day ago

I find the step- stuff unappealing but this doesn't seem like a good use of government power.

[-] Paddzr@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Same as face sitting... not my thing to watch but why does it matter?

Focussing on the important things I see. Jesus.

It's a fucking fantasy, let people live fantasies for a second

Next up we should ban some more kinks, then we should ban porn altogether.

This is just religious assholes using an easy target to get what they want, control of the masses, including those that don't believe their insane fairytales

[-] Chakravanti@monero.town 1 points 1 day ago

Don't insult fairies like that.

[-] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 2 points 8 hours ago

I do apologize

[-] Alloi@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

reason: "its a warn out plot, and we want real incest now"

I think you're heavily editorializing this.

[-] Coskii@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 day ago

If it wasn't something people sought it wouldn't be produced. I can't say I care at all about what people are into as long as it involves consenting adults. I don't know why anyone feels the need to attempt control over something they don't like if it's not harmful. And I don't perceive skewing societal norms in entertainment as harmful. Addiction is an entire other issue that doesn't pertain to this specific plot line.

[-] Ephera@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 day ago

I mean, I actually do think there's significantly more supply than demand in this case. The thing is, you typically want some semi-credible backstory why these people know each other well enough to have the hots. And for that, stepfamily is really quick to explain and you can just film in someone's house...

[-] Bassman27@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

Good luck policing this like they’re policing the porn ban. Waste of time and money that could be spent elsewhere. It’s fully legal for me to give one to my step mum in real life but got forbid I see a fictional scenario depicting someone giving one to their step mum.

[-] echodot@feddit.uk 10 points 1 day ago

Most of the time the stepsister "plot" is limited to the title. It's not something mentioned in the video otherwise, because it's mostly irrelevant.

[-] blueamigafan@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

This is yet another think of the kids moment, even though we now have id verification on porn sites in the UK now. So is the government admitting that face ID doesn't work?

[-] wewbull@feddit.uk 1 points 9 hours ago

Ofcom have a report stating exactly that. The OSA doesn't work

[-] rozodru@piefed.world 8 points 1 day ago
